Watching now.

(Will probably watch tomorrow's Gasquet-Ferrer match on the DVR, late in the evening.)

Really happy for Wawrinka.

It was wonderful seeing Youzhny humiliate Hewitt. Can't wait for that piece of garbage to retire.

I can't even begin to understand how this Hewitt racist asshole even goes far. The men tennis is not all that is cranked up to be.

What and when did Hewitt say that was racist?

It was a long time ago when he was playing James Blake. Just look into it.

That's just 1% of what I don't care for when it comes to Hewitt.

It's plain sad how Rafa's compatriots just lay down pathetically to take a beating. Boredo is just getting humiliated. This guy showed what a "man" he was against an erratic Fed. He has zero game against Rafa.

It was fun for about 3 games to see Robredo try to hit hard to the 3X3 box on the deuce side where Nadal is slightly vulnerable if it's hit there hard enough.

Robredo did it about once in the 10 minutes I watched, and then I turned it off.

I'm ecstatic that Gasquet has played so well, but that should be a 3 or 4 set easy one for Nadal. That will leave him a (likely) exhausted Murray or Nole to play in the final. As I said from the beginning, Nadal's form is scary. If he doesn't win this thing, then he should be ashamed.

No one seems capable of taking it to Nadal. Only Djokovic and Fed are capable of this (not sure about Feds current abilities though). If you hit enough balls to Nadal from baseline you can force him to hit out ( Djoko's case), or if you play aggressive enough and rush the net wisely then you can subdue him( Fed's case). Any other lesser players have to wait for the right time and surface.

Gasquet will take a set from him. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes 5.

I really would love to see Gasquet win this tourney. Would be nice to see a new face winning a slam.

A 4 set match is not typically easy unless the sets that Nadal win are easy but if Nadal was to win let's say 6-4, 6-7, 7-5, and 7-6 I would not consider that an easy 4 set win. Now if he wins let's say 6-2, 6-3, 5-7, and 6-3 then I would consider that easy as it would only be one tough set.

Just as Murray/Istomin wasn't an easy 4 set win for Andy. He had to work for that one. The only set that was not competitive was the 2nd set but the other 3 sets were very competitive

Of course leave it to Garber to spew garbage like "Robredo played decent". Whatever floats his boat to get to Rafa Worship Valley faster.

IMO, most players play poorly against Rafa, not just his compatriots. Robredo's win against FED was more about FED making a lot of errors, not able to keep the ball in play, and not being able to break Robredo.

It's not like Dodig, Silva, or Harrison did any better.

Even if you look at some of the past GS finals where Nadal played a lesser opponent, the wins against Berdych, Puerta, Soderling were uncompetitive too. Puerta won a set but the next 2 sets were blowouts.

The Finals against Wawrinka and Raonic earlier this year were uncompetitive. Both Wawrinka matches this year, in Madrid and at the FO, were uncompetitive.

The broadcasters said a few weeks ago that Nadal has a winning record over everyone in the top 30? There's a reason why he has that, it's because he's able to blow a lot of them out. Same with Djokovic and Murray right now, when they're on, they blow a lot of opponents out.
