From the forum itself:

"Not intended for political or gun control debates. If you don't like guns and shooting, stay out of this forum!"

Those of us who like guns can certainly celebrate when a politician does something right, no? I wasn't making a debate.

I think you missed the point.

You, the creator of this thread, the OP, made it political by using a political slogan.

Reap what you sow.

can this thread please be moved to the hunting and fishing forum since it isn't about shooting.

Lead bullets have never been banned for normal shooting, just for use on FWS wildlife refuges that allow hunting or fishing

Lead is only illegal in SC when duck or goose hunting. That's it. And that includes all land. This is why the fed should NOT be involved in state business. Fuck the feds.

Lead is a hazardous material and there are alternative mediums that can be used to make bullets without a significant change in price. There's no reason to be against phasing out lead altogether when it comes to ammunition. Shooters should be the first ones pushing for non-lead bullets, since we're the ones handling them most often. There would be no issue of "ammo ban by way of lead ban" if we encouraged ammo producers to stray from lead and into composite bullets, for example.
