Depending on the extent of the injury I wouldn't be surprised to see the Broncos go out and get another DT/DE off the market. Not sure who is available that is worth it though.

How that guy is still walking is just down right impressive. I follow him on twitter and he now has his own podcast that isn't too bad and he has talked about that some where he said he can't do a ton of cardio to work out because his knees just can't handle it.

So some great news from Camp today...

Kenny Anunike looks like will only miss maybe 2 weeks of practice. Should be ready for start of season or close to it.

Maybe even bigger news is Brandon Marshall will play this week against Houston. Very good sign that he is going to 100% for week 1. Kubiak also said that Trevathan is close. Both actually practiced this week full go for the first time since their surgeries.

Good chance that Sanders, Anunike, and Trevathan do not play this week.

Manning is expected to get up to the first half of the game of action. DT is expected to play as well and Manning said that DT has gotten back into football shape and looks to be a full go from here on out.

Also Manning has been throwing without the glove most of training camp. Good sign that the nerves in his neck are getting closer to being fully regenerated and why we should believe the WR's when they say Manning is throwing some of the best that he has since coming to Denver.

Yeah I would have probably waited one more week but if the doctors think he is a go, coaches think he is a go, and he thinks he is a go I guess put him out there and see what happens.

Looks like a career PS kind of player. More just another warm body. My guess is with Green and Daniels a little banged up adding some depth at the TE position helps out a bit.

As for Austin going to the IR. Definitely sad one to see. He had such a promising season last year for us that I thought he could really challenge Sly for the starting NT position. Good to hear the rookie though is playing well.

Other notes from today's practice...

Manning, Vasquez, and Daniels all received a veterans day off. This means Osweiler received all the 1st team reps and Siemian received all the 2nd team reps.

Osweiler seems to be getting more and more comfortable in this role. His first time out was pretty shaky but this time a bad pass was a surprise not the norm. He had a couple get away from him but for the most part Osweiler had a very good day getting to play with the 1's.

Beyond that Bennie Fowler made the catch of the day going over the top of one of the Corners to make a catch on a goal line fade pass from Osweiler. I don't think they can try and stash him on the PS again. Fowler is making this team barring injury of course.

Oh forgot to add this was the last open practice for the fans. The Broncos set a new record for fan attendance averaging over 4,100 fans a day for the 13 practices. They had something like 54,000 fans show up for training camp. This blew away our past record by close to 10,000 people and that one had 16 practices open to the public.

Also the Broncos next week will have joint practices with the 49ers. Going to be interesting to see if any of the fighting that has been going on happens at this camp. One guy to keep an eye on to be in the middle of that is Derek Wolfe. He has gotten into a fight each of the last 2 practices with another player.

Murphy looked like a decent prospect at Utah, but he will have a hard time here, IMO... Good PS possibility. Has great tools, just not fully developed. Should not have declared early for the draft.

That is what I understand as well. It did seem the team was getting frustrated with him this off season. The putting him 4th on the depth chart at the NT position was pretty telling in my opinion of what they thought of his work this off season. I'm wondering if this was kind of like last year with Julius Thomas where the team thought he should be practicing but he just decided he didn't want to risk it. Speaking of Julius seems he is doing about the same thing in Jacksonville now with sitting out the rest of the preseason.

I agree with this to a point ... but you could say the same about the Seahawks they are barrowing plenty from the Broncos themselves . They hired Alex Gibbs to try and fix there OL .... So there is that ..Gibbs did quit them pretty fast .. all the same kind of weird ..still kind of interesting ...

This will be the 2nd time Mingo goes into the season without his first rounder in DCFFL. The other when Ricky Williams was suspended for a season, I believe Mingo did very well that year too.

Mingo is like the SF Giants, the Patriots or what not of sports... One injury won't keep him down!

Like SS was saying. I was really hoping when that news came out that you had been on the clock so that you could have grabbed Adams.

Any of you following our joint practice today and tomorrow? I am looing forward to it. I hope Manning and his receivers get alot of work in. It will be a great test for our young corners to see if they are any good. Just hoping most of all there are no serious injuries on either team.
