Zaire is an (way)undersized LB we signed as an UFA out of Nebraska. (He was brought in there to replace Lavonte David.) Seldom has there been a day at camp that someone isn't raving about him.Yesterday Arnie Stapleton who represents the Broncos to AP said that he was having a rookie camp comparable to Chris Harris.

Interesting. I will have to look for him tomorrow night.

Thrilled to hear Zaire Anderson is doing so well... Great kid.. JUCO kid who worked hard to get to Nebraska... He reminds me a bit of Brandon Marshall in terms of desire and attitude.

Yeah Zaire has been brought up a few times here and all reports have been quite good. Heard interview with Phillips ystrdy ( not sure how old ) and one of the reporters mentioned he was noticing him in practice and Phillips said something like.." Yeah you apparently have good eyes". " kid has been making plays all over and today was no different". Something to that effect. He also mentioned Zack Thomas ( 5` 11" and about same weight) when comparing Zaire and his "slight" of size negativity from some folks. Looking forward to seeing some of the other rbs (Ball, Bibbs, JT and FB JDD ), wrs ( Norwood, Taylor, Patton, Fowler ) Te Dominque Jones ( lot of raves from coaches ), Dbs Marsh and Doss and Lbs Barret, Davis and Ray if he plays. De Anunike and Walker plus how Kilgo performs. Should be fun Gents.

How do you pm? I've been registered on this site for almost a year and I still need approval?
There are a couple of ways. The first is in the top right corner you see the word "inbox" click on that then click start new conversation. You will then want to message HammerDown. Or you can click on HammerDown's name and it will come up with the about to message. Or finally you can just write @HammerDown here like this and it will alert him

I don't think those first two work - at least I tried. HammerDown said to text him, but I don't think that's possible until "approved". Good suggestion re @HammerDown.

Today we signed a punter released by Bucs. Spencer Lanning. Anyone know anything about him?

Lanning kicked and punted at South Carolina.

Not a bad player. I like bringing him in to challenge Colquit. I doubt he beats him out with the paycut but he is a real true challenger instead of just a camp body. He has experience and we get a good look at him if Colquit does struggle or gets injured.

I know it seems small but with the XP's getting moved back some I feel we may see a few more kicker injuries in the NFL with kickers straining on their legs a bit more then normal now. Lanning can kick and punt if he was to somehow beat our Colquit there is one plus of having a guy like him on the roster.

Funny that Tampa claimed Karl Schmitz and cut Lanning. It was like a trade done through waivers. )

Updates on a couple of players. Today at practice they have CJ Anderson back on the field after tweaking his ankle in the game on Friday. Good sign that the team wasn't lying when they said it was just a very minor injury.

Chris Harris is also back at practice after dealing with a hamstring injury.

Emmanuel Sanders is still not practicing. Team seems to be being very cautious with him. I think if it is the regular season Sanders is playing in games.

Also have to say I love watching these OL drills they are doing to get guys going on the ZBS. As a DL/LB man it would get annoying having guys just cutting them off like what you see. It is why I honestly have no worries about the Broncos run game.

Just a couple more updates from today...

We did have one player carted off the field. It was an OL player named Sweeton who once he got carted off the field walked the rest of the way into the training room. They think it is just a dislocated finger. Not sure why he would need the cart then but I guess better to error on the side of caution.

Von Miller just continues to dominate. During 1-on-1 drills he went 3 straight times against Sambrailo, Garcia, and Paradis and embarrassed them all. They barely got a hand on him. This kid could truly have a special year.

Bennie Fowler continued to impress today. He is definitely pushing hard for the 4th WR spot. Caldwell also had a great day and is making it hard for the coaches to cut him.

The player of the day though was Darian Stewart. He had a pick 6 against Manning then also did the tip drill where he tipped one of Manning's passes right into the hands of TJ Ward. While Stewart is thought to be the weak link in a very strong secondary for the Broncos he might be showing he can hold his own.
