Couple other guys besides the ones you mentioned above cd that I`am interested in seeing also are.....
McCray- interested to see if he looks as good as last pre-season before injury
Barrow- been alot of talk about this kid lately

Anunike- very impressive in camp so far I hear
Fowler and Oz tandem
All the rbs!!!!
Special Teams

Agree with all those guys. I know that they are both long shots to make the team, since we are deep at DE and WR, but I've read a lot about how good Anunike and Fowler have looked in camp. Maybe they will at least make the practice squad.

A few things I love from that article. First after Clark got beat by the rookie he seemed to get fired up to face him again and stone-walled him. Maybe that is the fire he needs lit under him to get going as he definitely is the weak link on the OL.

Second I am starting to think the Broncos like to have their scouting departments go to some of the smaller schools to find the no name players that are on bad teams but are the lone bright spot for them. Such as now finding some gems from both KU and Duke. Both are not football schools but yet have produced some decent football players.

Third I am loving how much our rookies are showing they want to be great. That seems to be a theme of Elway draft picks in they are willing to put in the work to be great. Latimer has been spotted many of times staying after practice with Manning working on his route running. Now hearing Roby working after with a HOF player on his hand placement is huge in my opinion. It really is the little things that separate the good from the great. It also sounds like Roby seems to be getting it more and more with each passing day. He started out horrible at camp but it seems like his name finds a way into most reports for something good he is doing on the field now.

Sounds like today was a pretty crazy day at practice. The coaches actually had to stop practice as fights kept breaking out every couple of plays. They have had music blaring throughout practice to make it tougher to communicate and the players have just been going at it! This team is showing some fight in them that we haven't had in a while.

Trevathan was carted off the field today with a possible ankle or knee injury. No word on how serious it is at this point.

According to mike Klis the preliminary tests are encouraging for Trevathan. Sigh of relief for sure. Hopefully it stays that way.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but after last year, I'm seriously on edge with the injury bug. You just know that bitch is gonna bite at some point.

This would be bad. I don't think there is a position on the team as thin as linebacker.

Remember though last year he was carted off the field to then be back at practice the next day. Hopefully that is the case this time. Sounds promising right now

So should be back the latest after our bye week. Not the greatest news but could have been a lot worse. Please let this be our worst injury of the preseason

I found this, which includes the following quote from DT:

Danny Trevathan Injury: Updates on Broncos LB's Knee and Return | Bleacher Report

""They told me that my ACL and MCL are fine, but that I have a fracture in my knee. The doctor told me I was going to be out four to eight weeks, but I told him four to six. I'm not tripping. I will bounce back. I'm a soldier.""

If that is the case, 4-6 (or even 8) isn't so bad. Could have been the whole season. 5-6 weeks puts him out til right around the Bye Week. Thankfully it isn't the whole year.......

This sucks ass. I was really looking forward to seeing him blow up this year.

Who fills his shoes?

It does suck but for a bad injury this is about as good as we could have hoped for honestly. I mean torn ACL/MCL would have had him out for almost the entire season if not the whole season. At least this one he will only miss a couple of games and maybe not even that. If he is healed at 4 weeks that puts him ready for week 1. If he is not ready my guess is either Brandon Marshall or Lamin Barrow fill his shoes. Marshall has played quite a bit with the 1st team Nickel unit so he has plenty of playing time with the 1st unit. I'm not too worried about replacing his production per say as I am that he was the one getting all the play calls on the field. Who is the one wearing the mic'd up helmet now?

Thankfully it at least happened now where the team can have a month to practice and prepare for his absence for however long he will be gone.

Currently, the number 2 outside backer is Brandon Marshal. Lamin Barrow could also move over from the middle. Coach Smith and Del Rio are reportedly cross training all linebackers for defensive team flexibility.

Could be worse, I guess. Still not thrilled that he'll be missing some regular season games. Hopefully the rest of the d can step up their game until he gets back.
