Blake isn't a game changer, but if he can stay healthy, he does make them better. Unfortunately for them, not contender level better, but 5-6 in the East better.

Yep, he goes from being a glass ceiling for the Clips to being a glass ceiling for the Pistons. He's not a player that fits easily into a championship team, and is too often injured.

He's a nice player.

Really stepped up his outside game this year.

Now we have two guys that dunk. And dunk some more.

Kennard and Stanley will have to step up. And Reggie, if that's possible when he returns from injury.

Jerry west got brass balls. I'm not shocked at all

This is the first time I can remember that a player who signed a max contract getting traded in the same season he signed that deal. Crazy

that's why this is kind of a head scratcher...

with that deal in place one MIGHT'VE thought Griffin was staying with the Clips for the long haul...

Reggie has no room for growth imo.

The two young guys do though. We'll see.

Bradley was gone at the end of the season anyway. And I'd hoped to see him flipped. But who knows what that first rounder could end up being. This is really just to get butts in seats. But I don't think BG is better drawn than a new arena. And that hasn't exactly brought in crowds this year.

You think it hurts them with FA in the future?

I'd assume this is one of the first things mentioned by agents during talks for years to come.

On one hand, I feel bad that he was tricked into thinking he was the franchise.

But, on another, what other team would have paid him that much?

Dude...They are the Clippers.

Stopped being a destination as soon as Paul left.

It's still LA.

Even if they're the NBAs Lions.
Dude.....

If the Lakers have 50 mil and the Clippers have 50 mil, which team do you see guys signing with?

The one who has all the Championship banners and gave Kobe a hell of a retirement package or the one who has one Pacific Division Banner, alienated Chris Paul and sold its best player off like chattel?

I've lived this life for 30 years. I know how this story ends.

I think things like this deal only will make that worse.

My Tigers have done well with FAs. Because they've always honored contracts. Agents don't second guess.

How pissed is Billy Crystal?

He's probably trying to get LeBron next year.

If they get rid of Jordan and Williams and take back expiring deals/draft picks....they could get James and PG....maybe. Not 100% of their cap situation.

Now fire Doc.

Outside the box hire would be to go after David Blatt. Let him build an offense and get his input on the pieces they need. He won't have a star to have to defer to and could have a complete fresh start like he was supposed to have before Lebron decided to come back to the Cavs.
