Ideally we wouldn’t have runoffs. And no matter how we vote, we will NEVER have a runoff “we all agree on”.Can we have up to 3 picks, just so the runoff can be players we all agree on... and not just the random giants fans that love their players...LOL just playing on the WHY Mays made it...
Agreeed. Mays is not even top five. He may not be top 10. Ruth, Hornsby, Musial, Pujols, Gehrig, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Bonds. There's eight just off the top of my head. Can we have up to 3 picks, just so the runoff can be players we all agree on... and not just the random giants fans that love their players...LOL just playing on the WHY Mays made it...

Musial, if you only look at that 1 Tuesday in August of ‘48, was clearly better than Mays.Agreeed. Mays is not even top five. He may not be top 10. Ruth, Hornsby, Musial, Pujols, Gehrig, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Bonds. There's eight just off the top of my head.
So vote who you think is #2 now. All the Ruth voters are changing their votes for this slot. If more people think Rip Repulski (he had a Thursday in ‘55 where he was the GOAT!) is #2 than Mays, he will win.sure... but JMO, but with that last Ruth vs Mays... most that said Ruth commented that Mays was NOT even #2... if we have the people voting and vote for multiple people, then the runoff will represent the majority not the few that think a certain way...
Interesting you say that, when Bonds doesn’t even have a vote yet…also, this one will surely get a runoff.... its the Pro Bonds vs anti bonds...

Other people have a different opinion about how the ranking sits. IMHO, Bonds is #3, but as I said before, I am 100% OK with the top 3 finishing in any order. And if the board wants to move Williams in instead of whomever, that is great as well. It just says the board disagrees with me, and I am totally cool with that.
Yes. Who is the the arbiter of “good” vs “bad” picks?the only problem is that someone is keep on voting ken griffey... should we even count BAD picks...
Holy shit LOLAgreeed. Mays is not even top five. He may not be top 10. Ruth, Hornsby, Musial, Pujols, Gehrig, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Bonds. There's eight just off the top of my head.
Holy shit LOL
Me. Griffey is a bad pick. The Mariners are my team, but I still recognize a homer pick when I see one. That's a homer pick, just like the Mays picks are.Yes. Who is the the arbiter of “good” vs “bad” picks?
nobody, but not every opinion is subjective... there are some opinions that are just flat out wrong...Yes. Who is the the arbiter of “good” vs “bad” picks?
