3 weeks away!!!!!
Yeah, I'm glad the NFL -- at least for now -- is pressing on with the draft and not turtling up. Had they punted, I would start to get worried about how much season we are going to have in 2020.

There are 2 days a year with "sports" that I look forward to.

One is the NFL draft.

The other had to do with Pro Wrestling, thus sports being in quations.

I saw red and thought zach moss. Taylor would be a good pick just not sure i would want to spend a 2nd on a rb. There will be good backs like moss available much later i think.

Plenty of RBs in this draft. Might be able to wait until after the 3rd round perhaps. Got a lot of holes to fill that take priority over RB IMO.

Yeah, with the age and contract situations of much of our OL/DL, I question the wisdom of using early picks on offensive skill positions. This would be even more the case if we end up with Griffen instead of Clowney.

I like, Ke'Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt... He has great strength running through contact, while bulldozing over his opponents... We could land him in the 4th or 5th round...

Don't go 1-3. Develop a 4-6

Been watching film on him and he does seem to fit what Pete likes in a RB. Hard to bring down, fights for those extra 2-3 yards every time.

Are you talking for our team and this draft specifically, or do you mean just as a general strategy? I have been a long time opponent of early QB picks. Have been in several debates about this over at KFFL before here and maybe even CNN/SI before that. I haven't looked at it in a good while, but I grabbed a 20 year patch of 1st round QBs from 1990+ and 75% of them were Trent Dilfer level or worse. 50% were huge flaming busts. Only about 1/4 were pro bowl level or better players. And when you whiff on a QB, it can really set your franchise back.

Us and in general I guess.

I don't know. I've always been a pocket QB guy.

Someone who just knows an offense, has a golden arm and can't run.

Not knocking Russ at all

Here are a few highlights from him... Love how he runs low while squaring up his shoulders running down hill... Makes it tough to get a clean hit on his lower body, which enables him to break a lot of tackles... He's also a pretty good receiver' too...

Here are highlights and highlights of him against a very good DL in LSU... He does have a very good burst with his first cut back into the open field... One takeaway from this vid is just how bad Vand's QB is and how mediocre his OL is and he's still productive...

Vaughn reminds me of Rawls a lot. Thats not a bad thing but also not a good thing. I could see him having great games but also a lot of no where to be seen games.

Brock H likes this guy if he falls to us in the 2nd round. I know some folks wouldn't want a RB this early, but he is intriguing.

I like Jonathan Taylor a lot as well and he ticks all the boxes that the Seahawks look for in a HB.

Personally I don't think they should draft a HB in the first 3 rounds unless they believe they won't shell out the money to retain Carson and/or they don't think Penny is reliable/won't get healthy.

It seems like these days you can find really great HB value in the later rounds.

Being a huge college football fan as well as NFL fan, I think the NFL draft is probably my favorite sports day of the year and the one I take the most seriously.

After going on a rant about drafting Collier and Blair with our first two picks in a group text, one of my friends messaged me asking if I was okay because I sounded so pissed lol.

Injuries are definitely unusual for Penny... One of his features coming out of the draft was how durable he was... Never in hurt in HS or college... He was an ironman during that time... Hopefully he's not Prosise 2.0 in terms of being able to stay healthy...
