My two cents. I've always felt the Cowboys forum was one, that a outsider could post on, without being threaten with a ban, unless the poster was a outright troll. They don't feel the need to PM fordman with "ban this asshole", unless the poster truly was a asshole. They take great pride in handling it themselves and they don't hold back. They have guys that know their stuff and will argue it to death.
True there is some squabbling among themselves and some times it reminds me of a really old couple that just enjoy squabbling. The Cowboy board is far from the only board this happens on.
Hopefully once everybody settles in and gets use to one another, every Cowboy fan will be OK posting on the regular Cowboy forum and make it better.

You are correct on both the good and the bad. There aren't a bunch of babies whining about banning people and Fordman is extremely lenient. There are also way too many people (both regulars and newbies) taking things personally that shouldn't and that darn near ruins the board sometimes. I've stayed away from that as much as possible the last couple of years after realizing being in the middle of it is both counterproductive and ruins the fun of the board. What I do take exception to is when people come in with an insult right off the bat and then get upset that they get called out for it,especially when they have another teams logo below their name. Then they act like the victim on other boards. Lord knows no board gets the number of trolls that the Cowboys board does, so as one of my favorite Cheers lines goes...tact is perhaps your wisest recourse.

Truth is I respond to posts, not posters 90% of the time and welcome a discussion with anyone regardless of what was or wasn't said by them in the past. The issue was dead until it was brought up elsewhere. I also hate the idea of "their board" and "our board". There isn't one Cowboy fan that has any more right to post on that board than anyone else and the same goes for everywhere else unless the mods decide differently.

I agree with you. I don't see the eagles being this juggernaut that is a lock to win the division. Any one of the 4 teams can win it and any one of them can be last. Now I'm not saying the eagles are looking 3-13 in the face but I'm not seeing double digit wins either. That's why they play the games.

Whole division looks like 7-9 to 9-7 teams IMO. Should be a tight race.

After what Seattle did to Peyton Manning... that's certainly possible.

But I am actually looking forward to the Seahawk and 49er games. Assuming the NFC West defenses don't disappoint, those two games are going to be the litmus test.

And the common criticism of "not enough sample size/games played" should finally be addressed.

DC/Baltimore? First of all Baltimore is a completely different area & a lot of their fans hate the Redskins. Secondly - there are tons of Cowboys & other non-Redskins fans in the DC area. Also - D. Hall did anything but play selfishly last season & he is playing for a pretty low salary (I would hardly call that selfish). Lastly - since when has Garcon been considered a selfish player? I have seen absolutely no evidence of this during his tenure with the Redskins.

Oops forgot - you probably heard all of this from ESPN, on some random message bd or via the brilliant ramblings of some loud mouthed fool on TV or radio. Yep - nothing but selfish players in DC & they have absolutely no chance against the almighty Chip Kelly and his squad.

1. Baltimore and DC are less than an hours drive from each other. Saying they are in a completely different area is moronic. The outskirts of the cities damn near butt up to each other.

2. While Ravens fans do hate the Skins, Baltimore still has a large population of Skins fans from when the Colts were taken from the city.

3. Who the fuck are you to assume when I said DC/Baltimore I didn't mean them as separate markets but being so close both radio and television markets cover a lot of the same area? Or the area being rich with both fans?

4. No shit there's a ton of non skins fans in DC when a large portion of the city are transplants there for govt. work. But what does that have to do with anything?

5. Even if Hall did play selflessly last year, one season does not erase 9 other seasons of extremely selfish behaviors. But the simple fact is he was up to his same old shit last year as well running his mouth to coaching staff and team mates.

6. Maybe Garcon picked up the nick name when he called out rgME last year. Maybe he picked it up before that. I don't know, I didn't coin the term. Nor will I probably be the last to use it with all these me guys on one team.

8. You really shouldn't assume anything. I have been one of Chip Kelly's biggest critics. I'm still not sold on the guy. Im still not sold on the team results from last year. They took advantage of some pretty good situations like playing what, 6 different back up QBs? But I much rather have a 2nd year HC than a first. Especially on a team where drama is bound to break out.
