Alright now that your all done stroking yourselves the bottomline is simple for the NFC Beast,

Regain the swagger it once had, its pretty sad the NFC West is looking at four very good defenses, and that sucks...

and since we're talking all truth and all. The cowboy board's problem isn't the word meat. The topic was players ratings by position ( BOTH sides of the ball) and Plano Texas questioned Dallas having talent to warrant ratings. That's how a whole lota Dallas folks read it....certainly not just me.

better point being made currently is about Otis not being thick skinned like he said he was when he introduced himself to the Dallas board. Then all of a sudden he's upset cause a buddy was called out?

The point is, there are 2 sides to every situation PDay. And you have a right to defend the flag as much as Otis has a right to defend a fellow FN poster for what he considered a valid point and not trolling.

My mistake if the comment was not in the smack talk thread, thought that's where I read it - regardless the comment from Tx was a legit opinion to me. We can agree to disagree here...

It's not about having thick skin, it's about being able to post a legit opinion, without being accused of being a troll immediately and swiftly. Some people may not like that style of discourse. The 'prove to me your a legit poster before you make an opinion on our board' mentality. It is what it is.

That's the MO of a few posters on that board. Now you didn't use the word troll, but some did. It's the Boys board, and it's the right of posters there to choose who and how they want that board run...

I like to post on the boys board occasionally. I hope I have done so diplomatically and respectfully. I respect you as a poster and often agree with your takes.

Skins board may be uptight at times, but no one can deny that the Boys board can also be equally uptight. It's just about different things.

I'm not gonna bring it up anymore cause I don't wanna stir the pot. But I have no loyalty to anyone on that thread. While I did come from the same site as you and Otis I never interacted much with the truth and rumors crowd.

My opinion was strictly as an outsider looking in. Some people may want to take a deep breath and go back and re-read the thread with a clearer head. Because while seeing cowboys fans squabble with each other is the equivalent to sports pron for me, seems like there was mass miscommunication and conclusions being jumped to.

That's a great point Cali. There are two sides. It had nothing to do with Otis defending anything. Otis said adios and brought the drama of us against the world mindset to the general board. You took sides...that's fine.

I took issue right here. I can assure this guy the only person "butthurt" was him. We Dallas posters mix it up with the best of um and there are few butthurt posters. There are many very knowledgeable Dallas Cowboy football fans that know their football and certainly their team. This guy took it to far airing his opinions of who is a worthy poster and who isn't. You took sides, I get it but there is indeed two sides to this story. Attention seeking drama posters tend to get attention, it happens on the skins board like no other. Guess we need a sportster type to point everyone to the smack talk thread if they have a another team avatar and make a post. Defend the flag? This is Dallas we're talking here. Dallas fans have defended the flag on chat boards longer than any other fan base. It goes with the territory being a Dallas fan. It's been there for a long ass time and goes well beyond Jerry Jones's three ring circus. Dallas hasn't been shit for a long ass time yet our board gets um from all team, so yes, defending the flag is a large part of it. Does Dallas not have talent enough to warrant ratings? Is last years defense the kiss of death for this years team? Seems like that is the rally call of all these new found Dallas lifers. No wonder your down with taking sides here. It's in that redskin blood, cause we both know what I say about Washington as it relates to Dallas.

Nobody asks anyone to prove shit. That's your spin, Otis took sides with a guy that questions Dallas having any talent and not worthy of ratings. I called him an ass clown for the statement and others jumped in on his statement....LMAO....he qualifies his statement by saying he live in the Dallas area?

Our board has many many quality posters and have taken the troll comments FAR better than the Washington board. I laugh at you pointing a finger at our board just like I laugh at these new posters tag teaming and crying foul on the general board.

I can tell you about rising from expansion to a play away from playing in the first SB 7 years later.
I can tell you about being tagged next years champions because of all the playoff failures before SB5

Seems like we now have had this on going and rolling back and forth over more than one thread on more than one board and it isn't productive for either side.

Fannation is the most recent of the mass migrations, but it sure wasn't the first. When both CBS and ESPN killed their boards we had the same issues. Large groups of posters who know one another joining a community of a larger group of posters that mostly know each other.

In these cases it takes time for everyone to get to know each other and these issues come up every single time. No one is at fault or everyone is. The old groups get kind of defensive over the new group coming in and not being the same as them or going 'too far too fast' in their humor. The new people feel kind of left out of some clicks and struggle to find their way.

This too will pass and sooner than later the FN guys will simply be SH people along with everyone else.

Until then can we just dial it down a notch and not hold onto perceived slights so tightly?

I was guilty of following the thread to the general board and took exception to our board being called a bunch of butthurt people. That opinion required an opinion, least it seemed that way to me.

I'm fine with it, but at some point it goes beyond setting the record straight and I should be an expert at that since I take things too far myself quite often.

I just think at some point in time when everyone gets to know everyone these things will vanish and the FN cowboy posters will figure out what their comfort level is with your team board. And you will know when a joke is a joke etc.
