I would be more worried about Bridgewater's frame than Johnny's since he looks really skinny.

I am not worried about his frame, he is the same size as Drew Brees and bith can take big hits.

Doesn't everyone? Ha!

I'd be ecstatic with 8-8.

I know right! I like the makeup of this team so far. Still need another WR, OG, and just continue to stack that defense.

JFF is extremely elusive. I don't remember him taking many if any big hits in college. He scrambles a lot, but is intelligent about it. He knows how to get down and how to get out of bounds.

I don't like Manziel off the field but on the field, I think he could really be something and it was a smart move by the Browns. My hunch is that he will have a good rookie year but the rest of the league will catch up to him and figure out a way to stop him similar to Cam Newton or RG3. I could be completely wrong on him too and to no surprise. Damn I wish Gilbert would have fallen to my team tho. Great 1st round for the Browns.

Yah, but now he is facing guys that are faster, bigger, and stronger. He needs to be a pocket passer first

TJ Ward was a pretty significant loss, wasn't he? :hope:

why on earth would the Cowboys draft a QB in the 1st round when they have a top 5-10 QB?

I'm rooting for the Browns, I like the makeup of this team. Get another weapon or 2 on offense, get some additonal help for the o-line. The defense is there, they could be very good.

I agree, but I still don't like the Manziel pick that high. Maybe he'll prove me wrong but I feel like he's just going to get the crap kicked out of him in that division.

I don't think Manziel is going to do much for this team in his first season.

He has really bad mechanics and footwork. He makes very poor reads. His only asset is his improv skills which will be limited by defenses in short order.

If he's coachable, he can overcome these problems. But to expect him to light it up off the bat is a stretch.

He wasn't the 1st player drafted
He wasn't the 1st QB drafted
He wasn't the 1st player from his team drafted
Hell he wasn't the 2nd player on his team drafted.

He was a bit off on his expectations.

& now he plays where QBs go to die

When was the last time the Browns had a good QB?
Brian Sipe? Bernie Kosar?

Maybe this healthy dose of humility will help set him on the right track so he can have a successful career in Cleveland.

No, it wont.

People have treated him like he was special for most of his life - probably as far back as pee-wee football.

He thinks this is how he deserves to be treated by default. No way he's going to give that up without hitting rock bottom.

I agree, but not many QB's light it up in even their first couple years. Luck and Cam are only recent ones I can think of.

That doesn't mean he can't be a good QB. I could care less how he acts, if he performs on the football field Cleveland we praise him like Lebron.

It's the supporting cast around them, if this defense continues to get better, they approach the rest of the draft and fine one or two good OLman and give this offense a couple more weapons, say WR, RB, or TE then it could get seriously interesting...
