Michigan is going to get around atleast 5 more 4 * recruits and atleast 2 5 *. I think they can make top 5 at the end of the day. Most of their targets are heavily favored except Najee(tossup) and Leatherwood(Bama). We could be the favorite for Darnay Holmes as well. As many as 4 5* could be committed but I'm guessing 2.

But did you guys get a legit QB?

He ran it in 2015 as a Junior. I'm not sure if he's faster now but for 2016 a 4.42 would be tied for 7th and most likely one of the fastest if not the fastest for how much he weighs. Most the guys faster than him were a bunch of twigs at 170 lb CB's. Pound for pound he's one of the most athletic RB's in the 2016 recruiting class and will be a great change of pace RB coming off the bench for the Badgers.

I know Donovan Peoples Jones ran a laser timed 4.42 as a junior at the Opening in 2015 and was tied for 10th for 40 times.

I don't want to downplay the signing. But if he were one of the most athletic RB's at 220 lbs with 4.4 speed. He wouldn't be rated outside the top 500 for HS recruits. He is a track guy that plays football. If Wisconsin can mold him into a football player, he has the tools necessary.

Read this before you put too much into the Opening results.

Georgia is loading up on huge mobile OLs, which is something we have to have to make our offense go.
Our offensive coaches seem incapable of adapting to our tiny OL, which averages 303lb per starter. I think it's ridiculous, Mike Bobo could average 35 ppg with this roster. It won't matter if we build a huge line and win with it though.

Seeing a ton of predictions for 5* DE Joshua Kaindoh flipping to Penn State. That would be an enormous get, he is a monster.

ON to recruiting for Michigan. Need to get those recruits in our favor to commit soon. A few of them could play day 1. DPJ could be our number 1 receiver. As a freshman. I cannot wait until we get the legit talent ready!

But did you guys get a legit QB?
Sorry for the late response. Yes we have Dylan McCaffrey coming and Peters redshirted. Both top 50/100 recruits.

Nice, hopefully they will be allowed to compete for the spot next year.

Jack Tuttle, Mission Hills, Pro-Style Quarterback

Looks like we might lock up the 8th best pro QB for 2018. we have already locked up the 20th ranked QB for 2017 and 41rst ranked for 2016 who is our backup in the PSU game if Hornibrook can't play. We have three top 20 QB's that are really interested in joining the for 2018 but Tuttle just visited and likes what he seen. Normally when a guy visits we lock them up. It must be the jump around 4th Q. :noidea:

With Paul Chryst's reputation of being a QB whisperer, Wisconsin is probably going to be a destination school for some of the top QB recruits. And of course, when top QB recruits commit to a school, some of the top WR's & TE's will soon follow... and then the top OL recruits will also follow because they want to block for top QB's.... and then the snowball continues, as the top RB recruits will follow because they want to have a quality OL opening up the running lanes.

Methinks there is a bright future for Badger football over the next decade+.

The problem is keeping the defensive staff from being poached. Barry Alvarez is going to have to open up the pocket book to retain Justin Wilcox.

As for future Wisconsin QB's, it appears that the Badgers are one of four favorites (along with Florida, Pitt, and Michigan State) to retain the services of Notre Dame graduate QB transfer Malik Zaire. Zaire announced his intention to transfer today... and since he is a graduate, he is eligible for immediate 2017 play.

Sounds good in theory and I hope it works. The 2016 QB recruit decided to come to Wisconsin because he heard the same thing about Chryst. We're contending for BIG championships and a shot at the playoffs with a bunch of 3 stars and a few 4 stars sprinkled in right now. That bodes well for the future if they continue to improve in recruiting. They also have 3 4 star transfers that came in last year which means they will be able to play next season.

We were able to keep Dave for 3 years but he wanted even more $$$ at LSU. Thankfully Wilcox came and honestly the D has been even better than ever before. PPG is the same as last season but they have dramatically improved in the secondary even though they lost 2 starters and it was the biggest ? coming into the season. I pray BA pays the man.

Not sure if the Badgers want an ND second stringer especially with 4 QB's already on the Roster.

"Basically, they want experienced players instead of starting over with freshmen," Cotman told Scout when asked about his de-commitment from Butch Jones' program. "I'm good. I just know there's something better out there for me."

-Scout

Looks like we've decided to go the JUCO route for CB help and told him to look elsewhere. It sucks, but at least he has plenty of time before NSD to find a better fit.

Grade concerns have always been a deal with the Gaddy bro's, so I'm guessing the coaches don't feel comfortable about them qualifying and thought it'd be best to have them look elsewhere as well.

That's just speculation about the Gaddy bro's, but would make sense considering the timing.
