Maybe if they vote Gilbert out with Sterling.

Gilbert's words, his stupid rage on the night of the decision are probably memorized by James.

I doubt James would piss on him if he was on fire, let alone team up with him again.

If Lebron's leaving Miami, it isn't to go back to Cleveland. Cleveland's going to give Lebron the opportunity to pick his own coach - at this stage, he's smart enough to know that you need a coach that will push you and that you'll hate some time.

If Lebron leaves Miami, I can see Portland or Golden State given the tools that they have. Cleveland, they're the same franchise that selected Anthony Bennett with the 1st pick. They've now won 3 out of the last 4 lotteries and they've shown no improvements as a team.

But if he goes there they will have 4 #1 picks and potentially 3 great ones.

Wiggins, Kyrie, and Lebron.

Kyrie
Wiggins
Lebron
Thompson
Varejeo

On bench: jack, waiters, bennett (ugh)

They are still very young. I can't see Lebron on the West Coast and I can't see him anywhere but Miami or Cleveland. It just makes sense, especially with them getting the #1 pick again.

If they pick Wiggins, Lebron might not come back, but if they get a Parker or Embiid they might be setting up for a Lebron comeback.

But the more I think about it the Cavs if they want Lebron need to trade that pick and others for a superstar that is a star NOW. Only way Lebron comes, he doesn't want young talent that isn't ready to win

I don't think he's going anywhere, but if he was, it is strictly because he thinks there is a better situation to win now. Who provides that?
Going to the West makes no sense since the path to wining is much harder.

I've stated my opinion on the Cavs.
So, where would he go in the East?

I think his situation in Miami is ideal right now.
I don't see any greener grass.

The West is harder now. But the East usually provides more physical and defensive challenges (Brooklyn, Indiana, Chicago, etc.). The West would likely allow Lebron to play his game. Furthermore, I don't want to write off the Spurs, but at some point the 2/3 of the trio in Manu and Duncan will be retiring. As consistent as the Spurs have been the last fifteen years; there's always been one constant - Tim Duncan.

Lebron paired with Aldridge and Lillard would be ridiculous as they continue to go through the maturation process. But back to the Cavs - The Cavs are a horribly ran organization. Here's just a few reasons why:

1) Why hire Mike Brown when you fired him 3 years ago?

Answer: You did it just to keep Lebron. Not because he's actually a lousy coach like the Lakers realized after 1 season. You had this guy for a prolonged period time and still repeated the same mistake in hiring him back.

2) Why did you draft Anthony Bennett with the no.1 pick? Because I'm baffled, you knew there are issues with Waiters and Irving. You had a clearly better played in Victor Oladipo which allows you to use Waiters as a really good trade asset.

3) Let's not forget about Gilbert' multiple rants about Lebron upon his exodus - comic sans has merely become a punchline because of Gilbert.

4) What did the Cavs put with Lebron during his time in Cleveland? Not a goddamn thing. You know why? No one wants to spend their professional career in Cleveland. You know why players are willing to take less money to play in Miami? Because there's no state tax and it's Miami. Just like players are willing to take slightly less to go play in Los Angeles or New York.

If Miami repeats, Lebron will not leave. But this entire situation won't go away as he'll wait and see what happens afterwards in the coming seasons. I think regardless of how this series and possibly the Finals works out, Bosh has to go. Miami, going forward can pull the same maintenance program with Wade that Pop does with Duncan - it's clearly working. Knowing my luck, Bosh will start actually playing like a 6'11 PF instead of a SG trapped in a PF's body.

I don't think he leaves either, but for a little different reason. Money. Not that Lebron hasn't shown a willingness to take a little less to have the pieces around him to win, he has. Rather because he's only going to be willing to take so much less. Teams that he could go to, that could contend right away, likely don't have near the cap space (he ain't going anywhere for a $5mil vets exception).

His choice would be to stay in Miami, go through a couple of "Cleveland type years" where he is basically carrying the team on his own while they wait for D-Wade to retire and/or figure out a way to add some pieces. Or go to a team like the Celtics or Lakers, still go through a couple of "Cleveland type years" but knowing those teams have the ability/money to re-build quickly.

With those options, he may as well stay in Miami.

He can look around and see a fading Bosh and Wade injured every other day.
He is simply too smart to sit around for 3 or 4 years for Miami to replenish the cupboard.

It might not be Cleveland, but he is not staying in Miami with the expected roster they will roll out in the next 4 years. He already did that once before (carrying a team of nobodies).

Miami would have to surprise everyone with a dramatic roster overhaul.
But, they don't have any cap space or trade assets. So, its unlikely to do it.

hahaha no, if he goes to CLE I will stop rooting for him, that large of a stupidity flaw would be too great for me to overlook.

It has come from LBJs agent that money would not be an issue when LBJ is choosing a team, 30 teams are his option in the off season. I believe that means a combination of trading Bird rights (of course Riley does that) and taking less money.

LBJ himself has never said anything about that.

TLF, after pick 7 in 2014 you dont have much via draft until 2018.

Second rounders were traded away in coming years.

See above

The Lakers have never tried to rebuild using only the draft - Andrew Bynum was the last time they drafted and won two championships and the time before that was James Worthy - unlike the other teams, they know how to sign big names and trade(remember Pau Gasol). Just saying

I don't think lebron has ever been about the money. But if Cleveland can only offer him $8m a year, he's not going to give up a $100m contract the celtics or lakers can offer him.

But for what it's worth, I don't see him leaving Miami

Yeah. He has already shown that he'll take less money for a chance at a title, but taking $20 mil when he could get $25 is a lot different than taking $8-10 mil when he could get $25.

I think any chance Cleveland ever had at seeing him back in a Cavs jersey went out the window in a comic sans tirade.

You would think that but winning cures all.

If CLE would have showed that they were capable of winning with out LBJ I would give their chances up to 25%. A public apology complete with LBJ cock sucking by Gilbert I think would only increase their probability by 10% or so, despite it being necessary.

Looking back on CLE how can people seriously blame LBJ for leaving? Also, there will never be enough credit given to LBJ for the success that CLE had. Everything that CLE does is stuff I couldn't write for a Major League NBA movie.

You are not kidding. Two #1 picks in three years and they were back in the lottery again.

Oh and a big fat LOL at Skip Clueless for saying Johnny Manziel will be bigger in Cleveland than LeBron.

That mother fucker is just not living in reality.
