Carter's final year in the league, his 22nd season, he averaged 5.0 ppg. LeBron's in his 22nd and is averaging 23+.

Vince hung around, his last 6 seasons he didn't average double figures scoring.

You really see LeBron having numbers like that?

Yeah, I opted out of the "How many years does Lebron have left at a high level?" question about 5 or 6 years ago and I'm not opting back in. Dude is ridiculous.
Feels like forever since I used to talk about how he’d have the best “old man game” we’ve ever seen.

Maybe in five years that’ll be true. Idk.

LeBron’s ego will not allow for him to be a role player... Been saying it for close to a decade @msgkings322

Don't really see where it's an ego thing.

Some athletes stay too long which can tarnish the memory of them...I think the ones who retire when they are still at least near the top, should be respected.

For great athletes, it's about standards...he has set a standard for himself and when he feels he can no longer achieve it, why would he potentially harm his legacy by staying too long?

In my lifetime, I have seen Muhamad Ali quit on his stool after getting outclassed by Larry Holmes in a fight that never should have happened and OJ Simpson finish his career on the end of the 49ers bench, a diminished Deacon Jones retire as a Charger and while he didn't necessarily embarrass himself, the MJ on the Wizards is not the MJ I want to remember.

But hey, I get it, it's you and it's Lebron, so of course you have to try to make it a negative.

Tell us, does your Mom still check under your bed to make sure Lebron the Boogeyman isn't under there?

As big of a James fan I am if he is starting to go downhill it is definitely time for him to retire. You hate to see a guy hang around when he’s getting older and ruin his teams chances

It all depends how much money he wants

If he takes a major cut

Then he's absolutely value for 4 or 5 years
