The heat need someone who can play 25-30 minute at a wing position and start when wade doesn't. that way if ray comes back he can stay on the bench.

Deng (although it sounds unlikely) would be a huge get for the heat. defensively he would help so much, it would give LeBron much less of a load and allow dwade to rest way more. I'd rather have dwade play 70 games 25 minutes a night than 55 games 32 minutes a night. Ariza has the same impact.

Now in addition to that, they need a couple guys to fill smaller roles (a banger/rebounder and a veteran PG) cant rely on napier developing well and cole can be unreliable at times.

The other option is to get a guy like Gasol and then fill in a guy like marvin williams on the wing. and a vet PG to solidify that.

Isiah Thomas would be intriguing although I don't think the heat have the money to get him.

Uh Wade opted out of his contract. If the Heat were smart they would just let him go and spend that money on a wing player that can actually give them 30+ minutes a night. Wade at best is a good 6th man off the bench, but at worst he is a back of the bench salary cap space eater.

They can't pay him, I do think he is worth it. He was averaging about 18 and 7 at Chicago before he got traded. Pretty solid player.
Nice stats. Give the man the money.

Well I guess you are talking about letting Bosh go then, bc the Heat just don't have enough to sign all these guys. Gasol could replace Bosh and they could get Deng and some other guys if they don't sign Bosh

im not saying get all of them. im saying there are a few different logical approaches to take.

You guys are crazy if you think Wade is worth a 10+ million dollar a year salary at this point in his career. a Multi year deal at 10m or more would cripple the Heat. A year or two into that contract and at best you have a good bench player that can score for you on short minutes. At worst you're paying a guy 10m a year to sit on the bench. If Wade keeps regressing the way he has been the last few years he won't be much of a NBA player anymore before a 4 year contract ended. He easily would not be a 10m+ player by the end of it.

A multi year deal around 8-9m per year would be best for both parties, but I don't doubt Wade gets more than that. I also don't doubt whoever pays him more will regret it half way through the contract.

LeBron's lack of commitment hurting his team's chances.... again

Once again, LeBron's lack of commitment to his current franchise is hurting that team's ability to round out a championship roster around him.

Look, four years ago, LeBron made his "Decision" and everything else, and many point to the Cavs inability to surround him with a capable supporting cast as one of the main reasons why he left Cleveland. I contended then, that his lack of commitment to the Cavs leading up to his impending free agency impeded the Cavs chances of recruiting a quality Robin to his Batman.

Instead, the Cavs were forced to rely on an aging Shaq, Antawn Jamison, and Mo Williams as the key pieces around LeBron.

This year, LeBron is leaving the Heat in the lurch by taking his sweet time exploring free agency before making a decision.

The Heat have already missed out on making serious runs at key supporting castmates such as Kyle Lowry and Marcin Gortat because they are unsure of their cap status and the ability to bring back the "Big 3". Now they are reduced to relying on the additions of Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts to push them over the championship hump.

Again, LeBron is well within his rights to explore free agency, I'm not saying that, but when LeBron eventually moves to greener pastures, be it this year or two/three years down the line, don't explicitly lay the blame for building a championship roster fall at Pat Riley's feet. LeBron is just as culpable for the Cavs and now the Heat's inability to draw the necessary supporting cast.

Lebron has one thing on his mind..........Not his team-mates..........His legacy.........He wants to go down as the greatest of all time.......He is a conceited, arrogant, self centered player who puts Lebron first....He quit on the Cavs in the fourth quarter against the Celtics..... He quit on the Cavs with The Decision...He will quit on the Heat now that he realizes the Heat will not win it all again...In fact, they were lucky to win it all last year to repeat..

And he will not go down as the greatest...

Lowry and Gortat were never close to bring in the Heats price range assuming the Big 3 were staying.
James hasn't done anything wrong or cost the Heat anyone, nor did he with the Cavs.
Pat Riley is a big boy.
His job is to figure it out.

Amare Stoudemire stands out. Before he fell apart in New York, he was seriously courted by the Cavs, but shied away from the deal because LeBron wouldn't commit to the city. Stoudemire didn't want to be stuck in Cleveland with no guarantees that LeBron wouldn't bolt.

I'm sure Stoudemire wasn't the only player who felt that way.

You can't tell me that in this era of the NBA that LeBron's non-commital attitude didn't cost the Cavs then and the Heat now...

Now if they lose Bosh to Houston, Miami might as well run up the white flag.

I'd say giving the organization 4 years, 4 championship series and 2 championships is commitment enough.
The Heat aren't out of it, but LeBron is now looking for max $$, having compromised on that by going to Miami in the first place.

I don't fault LeBron. He has to put food on his family.
