Oh, I agree about the current roster, but Cuban has gone after virtually every big name FA since he bought the team and never seems to land one. I must be missing something because the Mavs seem like a great team to play for and they are in a great city.

I don't know if it's because the state of Texas is all about football or what, but Cuban just can't ever seem to "bag the elephant".

Blame Tony Romo?:noidea:

It's frustrating. We should have been able to land D Will last year easily. Howard was always going to be a reach.

Cuban always has his team in the playoffs, usually deep in the playoffs yearly. It's a great city, with no taxes.......some of the best facilities in the league, and an owner that ANY player can play for.

For whatever reasons players don't seem to take Dallas seriously, even after a recent title.

Be glad you didn't get DWill. He isn't worth half his salary.

We didn't do much better in getting Ellis. I don't see that much of a difference.

Point is, that should have been a shoe in of a deal.

If you can't sell a hometown kid on coming to a contender to win, who else can you possibly sign?

It just makes no sense. Houston is selling guys on titles won before most of them were old enough to walk, Dallas wins a title 3 years ago but can't get anyone to take them seriously? With all the advantages they offer? Something else must be amiss.

Maybe Cuban is pissing guys off in meetings or something.

Yeah, I don't get it. When they beat Miami in year 1 of the big 3, I thought Dallas would finally be able to land some big names, but it just hasn't happened.

Maybe Texas is seen as too "football crazy" for some of these guys?

God forbid Cuban's team ever becomes relevant again, he'd start running his mouth to no end.

Embiid is recruiting James on Twitter?

:laugh3:

Jokingly, yes. I really hope this kid gets healthy. He's showing the personality that lends itself to being a huge star. He gave an interview with Dan Patrick last week that was equally funny and playful.

So, Portland signed Kaman.

If he is taking his meds, he's a pretty good big off the bench.

If he's not?

* See stint in Dallas

I thought for sure they would land Hawes.

I wonder what team is offering Spencer more?

Phoenix. He was visiting with them this afternoon. They have money to burn & a need for his skills if Frye is asking for too much or moves on. I would take Hawes over Frye.

Agree.

I like both he and the Greek Freak's future star potential.

I just hope Embiid's career doesn't go the way of Bowie/Oden.

Who knows how high a guy like Daugherty's ceiling would have been without the back injuries.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the advancement in modern medicine will help Joel avoid that path.

He could go the way of your very own Blake Griffin, who's an example of the opposite. Who knows what will happen.

Goodness!

Hawes would be PERFECT for the Suns.

Phoenix is my 2nd favorite NBA franchise, after the Clippers.

But, I stopped advertising because, apparently, multi-fandom is FROWNED UPON in this establishment:noidea:.

I pray you guys keep Bledsoe.

I know Phoenix is not a Major market.

But, I wish guys like Love, Lebron, Melo were open minded enough to see what a great opportunity it would be, for two of them, to team up in Phoenix, while still collecting max salaries.

Bledsoe, Dragic, Melo/Bron, Love would be filthy.

Blake had a knee injury, not a repetitive back injury.

But, I get your point.

My biggest cause for concern is the fact that he's only been playing organized ball for 4 years.

Yet, this has already happened twice.

What's gonna happen when he has to play a 82 game season?
