Of these four teams the Mavs would be the best fit. If they can sign him the Mavs should be the favorite in the West. The current rumor is the Cavs, Mavs, Rockets and Suns all pitched to his agent today. Supposedly he will narrow that list to 3 teams by next week.

I agree.Actually, to be fair to Lebron, I think that he is playing this exactly the right way and handling it much better than he did in Cleveland.
To my knowledge, he has not agreed to meet with any other teams. At this time when he was in Cleveland, he was on a whirlwind tour being courted by teams that he knew had no chance of signing him.
I agree with Davis and think that it's probably 90% or better that he signs with the Heat. I think he is waiting on 2 things:
1.) I think he has laid out to Pat Riley, exactly what he needs to re-sign and he's not going to even meet with other teams unless and until it looks like Riley can't deliver.
2.) I think he wants to see where 'Melo ends up. I think he's intrigued at the possibility of the 2 of them playing together. If 'Melo signs with a team that can manage to fit both of them under the cap (without taking a huge paycut), then he will look at that. For example, if the Lakers could find a way to sign 'Melo, Lebron and Pau, to form a "big 4" with Kobe, I think Lebron would give that a good long look.
I don't believe that any team can give him a better (or even as good) chance to win than Miami, so I think he still ends up there and I doubt he even meets with any other teams.
Not sure I can see him in the west, if he stays in Miami there is really nobody in the way of him making at least a couple more finals appearances. In the west it would be a fight to get there every year... Nah, he stays in the east and most likely with the Heat.
The Mavs are well coached and took the Spurs to 7 games in the playoffs. They have a nice mix of young and older veterans and Cuban can be very persuasive. Not even close. It is the Rockets with an ever so slight chance for the Suns if not the Heat. There is no way that Dallas can give LeBron a better chance to win than Miami can.
It wouldn't big a big surprise if LeBron signs with the Cavs but will he be able to share the ball with Irving? So now they're reporting that Lebron has talked to Gilbert personally and patched things up.
But he will only join the Cavs if they make a big move, ie Love
Apparently he doesn't care about coaching or ownership, just the roster. Twitter is going crazy right now, if I knew how to post twitter feeds I'd post all this stuff flooding my feed

He signed Monta Ellis last year.
After going after Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Lebron James, and Deron Williams
He has failed miserable in acquiring the big names.
If he doesn't land Melo or Lebron this year, he needs to change his approach in these meetings
In all seriousness, I have never understood why he can't seem to land any big name players. From everything that I have read and heard, he is a great owner whose players want for nothing and Dallas is a great city. They also have a star player in Dirk who has made it clear that he'd be willing to be the #2 for the right FA.
What's not to like?![]()
The roster?
No seriously, Cuban is a great owner. Chandler and Dirk are good complementary pieces, but Ellis is not the type of player who makes sense to pair with LeBron. Dallas is solid, but again, this is no better than Miami.
I think the major reason the last few years is Dirk's age. I don't think anyone wants to sign a long term deal to play with a declining Dirk who maybe have 3 good years left at most
