Ridiculous to be counting any of the top three teams in the West out at this point. The Cards aren't going to be getting any starters back, they are out for the season. 9ers and Hawks can still count on guys coming back......long season and lots of tough games ahead.

That said, Seattle really needs to sweep AZ, not that they will, but IT does need to happen.:suds:

Losing Clinton McDonald was a bigger deal than losing Clemons. Interior DL pressure is our biggest problme right now.

I was hoping a combination between Hill, J Williams, and K Williams would make up for the loss of Clint and Red.
K Williams has been pretty quiet hasn't he?

Looking at the next 3 games for the Cards and Seahawks there is a decent change the Hawks are only 1 game behind AZ when they meet in Seattle on November 23rd. To make the Playoffs you are looking probably 10-6 minimum, 11-5 to feel comfortable. Means hopefully then can go 2-2 on their remaining Road games and win the rest at home.

Fuck it. I see us winning out and repeating against the Broncos.

I would preferred Philly to win.

yea, you're right. it would've been nice if they tied....

I guess just thinking we get AZ twice and can control our own play off chances with them.

Losing McDonald hurt, but having Clements playing end, allowed Bennett to play inside some and that helped the interior pressure also. Losing both Clements and McDonald was a big blow.

Don't forget Red. I know people think of QB pressure with the Nascar package in on 3rd down, but Red disrupted the o-line and got QB pressure on first and second which led to a lot of 3rd and longs. A team becomes fairly one dimensional if they are consistently facing 3rd and 7 or more. He was also great at sealing his side off which forced teams either up the middle or to the other side. I may have to go look up the stats to see if this is just me loving Red and what he brought, or if what I suggest has legs.

Losing Red, McDonald and Clem was a big loss for this team. Bennett was excited for the opportunity to get more snaps, but that just means he is not as fresh. He also worked very well with Avril on the left side and now he often gets put on the other end and I don't think is as effective.

5-3 Now.

Cards are hot and getting breaks.
Hawks are winning ugly and need to improve a lot.
9ers are causing their fans to complain about the refs (meltdown by one poster) and not getting breaks

Hawks got work to do, no doubt.
It starts with beating the NYG next week.

This is how I see it

We have 3 losses and the Cards have 1 loss. We have 2 games against them. Win those 2 and we're even with them and get the tie breaker. The other games will take of themselves
