This weekend i got a chance to go to the rangers and Islanders old timers game in the garden.

At least 3 to 4 old timers were better skaters than our very own captain anchor.

They all said in the post game interviews that they had a real heartfelt gut check talk after the first intermission. Whatever was said it resonated and I hope it goes beyond just this game. If you can play this hard against a top caliber team you can play this way every game, still won't win them all but it will put you at better odds in the W's vs L's column.

There's some good chemistry on that line and they move the puck well. Now we just need to find line mates that can keep up with Michkovs play and we may have something.

That's the kind of character win that we need more of. Down 0-2 to the defending Cup Champs and we scratch and claw our way to victory, despite giving up a shortie and a power play goal. Ersson was definitely big late to preserve the two points. He will probably be in net for Team Sweden at the 4 Nations. Not that he is elite, he's just the next guy in line and may be finding his groove also.

Now, can we back it up tonight against Columbus, a team that is shockingly 3 points clear of us!? They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 and have won 4 straight. This somehow works out to be the biggest game of the season. Also, the Jackets are 14-5-3 on home ice and Werenski could actually win the Norris this year.

Talent. Teams that are "consistent" have enough talent to win with their B or C games. Any team in the NHL can beat any other team with an A+ night. Nobody can bring their A+ every day/game.

Yep, gotta have balance, enough help from other assests on the team to cover for an offensive less night in another area, like I said, if the chemistry on the cates line becomes consistent, then we need to start piecing a solid line for Michkov to thrive, we have a draft and possibly free agency, just hope Danny B makes the right moves.
