Horrible bench management gave CBJ the tying goal. In reality cost 3 points. Gave cbj 2 and gave up 1

Talent. Teams that are "consistent" have enough talent to win with their B or C games. Any team in the NHL can beat any other team with an A+ night. Nobody can bring their A+ every day/game.
We have had so long to accrue talent that can rival anyone and it seems like we can never get to the next level. Its been a long time since the 2010 miracle season. Other organizations like Washington have won a cup and rebuilt their organization and are right there with the top teams again. Why not us?

It didn't help that a traffic cone is better than Drysdale at playing defense. His defensive skills are at a 2 on a scale of 1-10.

I just went on ESPN and watched it again and it pissed me off again to watch him on that goal .:mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

Yep, gotta have balance, enough help from other assests on the team to cover for an offensive less night in another area, like I said, if the chemistry on the cates line becomes consistent, then we need to start piecing a solid line for Michkov to thrive, we have a draft and possibly free agency, just hope Danny B makes the right moves.
In Danny B we trust.

While I agree he got caught , look who got stripped right before that . That's about the 200th time I've seen that play from Laughton be cause instead of engaging he waits. Drysdale looks like if he would have a t least checked that dude he had a good chance at disrupting the play. Still got a ways to go but at least we've seen better heart for 2 games now. Also again Fedotov was very good minus the shootout.

Drysdale is the last line of defense before it gets to the goalie. Even if a puck is stripped at center ice you have defenseman behind you, that's their job. If you are gonna let the guy go right past you they may as well make him a forward.

Where is Deslauriers to fight Olivier for taking runs at Andrae a few weeks ago and then a run at Sanheim last night?

Koneckny at least knocked him on his ass. But you know, we have some decent size kids on this squad but they are all broads, none of them want anything to do with physicality Sanheim,- 6'4 244lb, Zamula- 6'3 200lbs, Ristolinan- 6'4" 209lbs. I could go on and on, Tippett not small, Hathaway isn't small , nor is Forester, they're just all gutless. Also besides a fight Delaurias brings zero to the team at this point. Hopefully it was said in the talk during the Panthers game that it was time for these kids to start being men! But yea I agree, Seeler shouldn't be the one out there throwing blows with Olivier. Just my :2cents:

We have a team full of pusses. You listed most of them. Deslauiers could've definitely played against Columbus for that game instead of Lycksell as he was invisible.

I agree but at this point I'd rather Lycksell get the time, pretty sure Delaurias will be gone at the end of the season, letting Lycksell play should determine whether he remains also, he hasn't been very impressive, but he's had limited time to. But yeah he's another undersized Euro player who better get better soon.

Deslauiers if healthy should've suited up against Columbus to protect players like Andrae our best young defenseman who Olivier hurt last time out and he hurt Sanheim last night. Lyksell could've sat last night and played the next game.

That was obviously a blown game last night. Had the 2-1 lead with 5 minutes to go and let their best player victimize us yet again. Too much of the overtime was spent backtracking and then Fedotov was below average in the shootout. It's crazy that Columbus is suddenly a hot team that is in a playoff position. We absolutely let them off the hook last night. It's unfortunate.

CBJ is 4-0 in shootouts.

Werenski on Norris Trophy watch.

Only fun out there is the Pens. Jarry put on waivers. Has 3 more years at 5.5MM

Im not that hyped about it I guess, Love Andres play but another small defensive guy. While I agree with you that Delaurias should maybe have been out there, these kids need to learn how to protect themselves, shit even McKinnon has some fighting majors. Also neither check from Olivier was a cheap shot( he's not that type of player, just big). Win, lose or draw you have to drop the gloves and stand up for yourself. Maybe a visit to fight school over the summer. Also you don't have to be a great fighter to have heart!

Unfortunately, Fedotov pretty much gave them the five hole though in the shootout. Almost embarrassing.

Yes, I'd have Werenski winning the Norris as of right now. Played 31:30 against us and scored both of their goals. Leading the league in time on ice and it's not even close. He's carrying that team on his back. On pace for 93+ points, which could easily end up tops among defensemen.

For win-now teams, both the Pens and Rags are performing terribly.

I still think the 8 remaining games in this month will pretty much tell us whether our squad wants to make the playoffs or not.

Maybe we should trade for Olivier as he has almost as many points as half of our team
