No its not you purdue. Alot of the NFL FOs are hiring DEI hires and lots of them can't recognize talent and many non-DEI hires can't recognize talent. So their roster development is a patchwork of a bullshit, shotgun approach to drafts and FAs and then they try to CYA with dumpster-dived players no matter what sport you are talking about. The Phillies do it regularly, The Raiders are another club that does it. The Browns and sometimes the Rams and now it looks like the Flyers are doing it.

Hey @mall3013 , you ever gonna post over here again? You're supposed to be a fan, so get in here and take your lumps with the rest of us!!! :suds:
What up? I'm enjoying football season. My Buckeyes are a win away from a Natty and my Eagles advanced. I have been somewhat tuned in with the Flyers rebuild. I'm not sure what to think about this squad. How's everyone doing on the Flyers board? Been frazy busy with work and being mandated.

Obviously everything went right for us in Cutter Gauthier's return to Philly.

Guys who really needed goals all lit the lamp, including Frost, Tippett and Michkov.

Drysdale scored against his old squad. I'm sure that was incredible for him and his confidence too.

Konecny and Poehling had monster games. With four assists, TK now has an outside shot of getting 100 points this season and he's technically never put up more than 68. My dude is earning his next paycheck already. Remember, his new contract begins next season.

The power play struck twice.

Hathaway finishes the scoring at six and Gauthier is on the ice to see to it go in.

Ersson puts the cherry on top with a rather easy shutout.

I believe it was our largest margin of victory in over 7 years.

All of this is great, but why in the fuck can't we do this against an actual rival!? I guess we'll have our shot coming up soon. Lots of division rivals on the way.

Again though, as enjoyable as this one was, we only play Anaheim twice a year and once in Philly. They aren't even in our conference, obviously. This win isn't very meaningful, in the grand scheme of things.

The best way to make Cutter Gauthier forever regret staying in Philly is to go win a Cup without him.

We're really going to find out what our group is worth here in the second half of January. Eight games against division rivals and the next one against the defending Cup Champions tonight.

It's also perhaps worth noting that Gauthier scored two goals (including the game winner in OT) yesterday at Carolina, so he sure as hell wasn't set back by his experience in Philly the night before. He only had 5 goals on the season, so that's a bit of a revelation for him.

All of that said, fuck him. I award him no points and may God have mercy on his soul...Lol

Good to see your doing well, what are you being mandated for? Military? Yep nothing much here has changed, as far as the team goes, we are getting better but I think too many kids on this squad are suffering from not having a more offensive minded coach. Love what Torts has done but we need more offense IMO.

Anaheim sucks more than us.

I just want a win vs the Penguins. I owe my neighbor (all Pittsburgh all the time) big time. Can’t even gloat over the Stillers collapse since their last win was vs browns.

This weekend i got a chance to go to the rangers and Islanders old timers game in the garden.

At least 3 to 4 old timers were better skaters than our very own captain anchor. :L
