Yes, but fortunately, it's just one game. The Pens are in a shitload of trouble in the grand scheme of things. A win-now team with aging stars that has very few picks/prospects and also isn't even in a playoff spot. Crosby, Malkin and Letang aren't going to play forever.

Again, for Shitsburgh, nobody in their top 10 in scoring is under age 27 and 7 of them are north of age 30. Crosby is 37, Malkin is 38, Letang is 37, Karlsson is 34, even Rakell and Rust are 31 and 32.

For us, it's pretty much the opposite. Only Couturier and Laughton (32 and 30) are older than 30 and 6 of them are under age 27. Konecny and Sanheim are right there at 27 and 28. These guys are our team leaders and they are really not even old yet.

I hope we get at least one of these guys. The rumor mill is def getting more active.

Hopefully we get one but we really need a first and second line center desperately. Hope for one in a trade and get one either in the draft or a free agent.

Get ready for some serious division hatred in January and February. We play NJ and NYI 3x each in the same two week span of January, then those Pens 3x in an abbreviated month of February, where we only play 7 games total due to the 4 Nations Face-Off. These games will go a long way toward deciding everything with regard to playoff standings.

These assessments are pretty much on the money. I cant believe Luchanko only had one shot on net as he had a lot of chances and made some great passes and was centering the PK. Bonk was the QB on the first PP but looked much better at 5 on 5 play. He is a perfect replacement to Risto as they play very similar games. Below is a recap from Jamey Barstow:

Oliver Bonk had a good game, as did his teammate Easton Cowan. Bonk made the right plays at even strength, but struggled it with the Power Play a bit. Inconsistencies with the man advantage is to be expected, especially early in this tournament, due to lack of playing time together.

Bonk broke up some plays, and made some goods reads Defensively, and Canada won 4-0. Flyers Goaltending prospect Carson Bjarnason was relegated to the third string goalie position, so he did not suit up. Carter George was phenomenal between the pipes.

Jett Luchanko certainly did not look out of place. Although he did not hit the score sheet. He still managed to show off his skills, especially with the puck. There were some plays he would like to have back, especially with the puck, but overall I liked his game. Luchanko managed to play 15:03, and he registered one shot on net.

Heikki Ruohonen played well for Finland into losing effort. Ruohonen registered three shots on net, and played 15:38. He tried his best for team Finland, to break Carter George’s shutout bid, but he would not be denied. George was just too darn good between the pipes. Ruohonen tried to go high glove side, but was denied. He did everything possible to pot one.

If we can figure out a way to trade up and get this kid James Haggens we will be very happy as IMO he will be a star in the league.

In Danny B we trust!!

Why do we keep collapsing defensively to within 5 feet of our net. Stand someone up at the blue line for fuck sake! Gotta.play in the other teams zone for more than 5 minutes out of 20.
