Exciting Flyers Forward Continuing To Thrive In AHL
This Flyers forward is continuing to thrive down in the AHL with the Phantoms.
I hope he gets another chance to play for the big leagues.

Although Laughton is playing well below what we all expect from him right now he is pretty much the captain of this team even if he isn't wearing the C on his chest. It would take a lot for Richard to replace someone like Laughton unless he is traded.I'd take him over Laughton right now for sure.
If he's the Captain then he has less influence than Captain Crunch! Nobody on that team is looking at this dude as a leader. I hope he picks up his play and we can get something decent for him, wish we'd have traded him when he was at high value. Either way I'd rather see Richard in his place if nothing else.Although Laughton is playing well below what we all expect from him right now he is pretty much the captain of this team even if he isn't wearing the C on his chest. This season!? Not a chance. He would need 76 points in the last 55 games. That's assuming he doesn't get injured or benched for a couple more games. That's also 1.38 points per game the rest of the way. Only a few guys in the Nhl are at that pace or better. He's shooting almost 24% too, which is just not sustainable.Who else thinks Michkov may be a 100 point getter this season?
I don't think realistically he'll do it this season either. It's fun to cheer him on though and if he did do it, we'd be wrong for all the right reasons. This season!? Not a chance. 100+ points, sure, but not in his rookie season. I think that's asking too much, too soon of the kid. He's not getting enough ice time for that either. I'd rather he just stay healthy and round out his game.
After getting pushed around by Boston we need some sort of toughness.Another ex-Flyer on waivers. Should we take a chance?

This is going to happen all year. Same as last year we win games we shouldn't and I'm all excited for the playoffs and then they lose games they should win and I'm like why didn't we tank.
It's michkov's birthday!!Not a lot of better ways to endear yourself to the fan base than to get tossed at the end of the game for punching a guy after the whistle and then stopping in the tunnel to sign an autograph on your way out. Nice one Michkov!
Laughton has been wearing the A on his chest for the last 3 years so i guess he does have some pretty big influence in the locker room.If he's the Captain then he has less influence than Captain Crunch! Happy birthday to the greatest hockey man in the planet!!!
If he got a decent return then I wouldn't be heart broken if he was traded, but he is far from the issue this team is having.Article in the Athletic today about Farabee maybe being trade bait or should the flyers keep him. Below is a from the article:
Farabee is still just 24 years old, too, and considering his NHL experience, some younger players on a decidedly young team look up to him.
“He’s just been a good guy, a guy that pretty much everyone in the locker room is comfortable with,” Bobby Brink said. “He’s always kind of there for guys and he’s always around the boys. I think guys appreciate that. He’s been around for a while and is still a young guy, so definitely a guy that knows the ropes and you can kind of follow.”
That the Flyers value that kind of off-ice influence has been reinforced many times, most glaringly by their decision to retain alternate captain Scott Laughton at last season’s trade deadline.
Here is a current comparison of a guy you want traded off the team and a guy you say is far from the issue on this team: Why the hatred for Laughton and not Farabee? If he got a decent return then I wouldn't be heart broken if he was traded, but he is far from the issue this team is having.
