THE PAC12 Thread

That's kind of how a rivalry works. Every week I pull for 3 teams: my Trojans and whoever is playing UCLA and whoever is playing Stanford.

I have pulled for UCLA once (vs. Oregon) and Notre Dame once (back in 2003 when a ND win would have put USC in the NCG). I got screwed both times and won't be doing that again!!

Oh don't mind Mamba. He likes to stir up the shit and start a war and sit back and watch his creations. I think we all know his game. I'm sure he isn't really bothered by my having a stanford icon this week, but he probably feels it has been too long since there was a UW/Oregon board war and that is all he had to work with. I'll not be suckered into his dastardly plans!

Hey Mamba, you didn't seem too keen on the idea of a separate thread for the pick'ems back when it started. Have any new thoughts on that? Takes a hours to go back through all these pages to go find everyone's picks. Would take minutes if it had its own thread. Just saying. I'd be a lot more inclined to help with the data if it wasn't such a cluster fuck.

And well hours may be a weeeee bit of an exaggeration. Its more like a half hour plus an hour of bitching and drinking while putting it off.

I remember talking about school colors and it was something about royalty in your colors.

Yeah, some of the regulars here sure do make a fuss about stickies and threads don't they? Bit of a fussy lot they are.

Didn't the B1G folks create a unique thread for their pick'ems? Thought they did, but maybe I'm wrong. Remember seeing that theirs was not ATS so I avoided it.

Meh, I'll do next weeks stats even if we keep it here I guess. I'd prefer to know up front when I do mine as I gather the data as they are posted so I don't have to go back through 50 pages of basketball banter.

BTW, great defensive performance Beavers. Finally got to watch the game last night.

I was glued to my seat and thought the Beavs really choked the game away. If they'd taken the early FGs instead of going for it on 4th downs, they could've won it with a FG in the final seconds. The recievers also dropped too many balls that were in their hands from lack of concentration. Stanford's defense was very good and their pass rush had Mannion rattled. Hope they do the same to Oregon and beat them again. Maybe I'll drop in on your forum to say howdy.

From there you can easily find the pickem post for the remaining contestants by scrolling through a page or two (Except mamba's ).

You will need to click on the actual post to see who they picked if they highlighted their pick. (Like most of us do)

That should cut off about 20 minutes of searching and 30 minutes of bitching...

I'd like to help more however works sucks right now and besides I'll be out for two weeks anyhow.

While it's always good to win the Rose Bowl I'd rather lose in the NT because it means your on the cusp and could get it done next year.

Losing a beer is never good... oh wait you mean the NCG right?

Losing the NCG means you were in it to begin with. How can you not want that? Don't think there is a huge difference between winning a prestigious bowl game and losing the NCG, but a slight edge to at least being in the big one makes sense to me.

Vita, good stuff there man. I'm at work and don't want to take the time to finish that off, but if you did get everyone then at a quick glance I was the big winner for the week so what else do I care about?

That 100th Anniversary edition Rose Bowl trophy would be a nice one to have.

But a crystal football would be nicer.

Going to be unbelievable if Oregon can pull it off.

Oregon would have to play perfect for 4 quarters to beat Alabama. Even then its not a given
