The point is we were beating you PRE sanctions. The sanctions just provide a handy excuse for performance.

Also those scholarship reductions didn't start until 2011 and this is the first year they've mattered

Uh, how many conference titles did you win during the Pete Carroll era? NC's? That's what I thought.

As for the reductions, are you serious? You think this is the first year that they've had an effect? We were down to 75 (fewer in real numbers) last season and we're at 65 this season.

Tell you what. Let's trade. Have Oregon lose 10 schollies per season and see what happens. If you had the sanctions we got, your beloved Ducks would fall back to where you were for decades pre-Uncle Phil and it would take you decades to recover.

Yeah, I'll be on that thread!! My son and I are planning on getting to a bball game or 2 this season. I love college basketball (just not as much during football season).

You guys postponed them so they weren't in effect from 2009 to 2011 seasons.

USC was already in decline. They'll be back. Things are cyclical. Some teams have short spikes and log dips (OSU) other like USC are the opposite. This 6 year dip isn't going to last.

Oregon and USC will be a hell of a rivalry for a while

It's not always about national titles. Being a presence year in and year out on the national stage gains you some points. I would actually say UA basketball is more of a powerhouse than Oregon is in football. We are regarded as a top ten program of all time. Can't say the same about Oregon football
