Wait nobody cares.
When will Oregon be getting its violations? Shouldn't be to long before Graham pounds yo teams.
You guys postponed them so they weren't in effect from 2009 to 2011 seasons.
USC was already in decline. They'll be back. Things are cyclical. Some teams have short spikes and log dips (OSU) other like USC are the opposite. This 6 year dip isn't going to last.
Oregon and USC will be a hell of a rivalry for a while
Personally, I think it was about recruits more than anything else. I was in favor of letting him stay through the season and see if he can clean up his mess. However, we lost at least 1 top recruit after the Washington St. game and were looking at losing at least 1 or 2 more after the "Debacle in the Desert" vs. ASU.
Kiffin's greatest strength is as a recruiter and if he's losing recruits, there's really no point in keeping him, particularly when so many fans and alumni wanted him gone. 2 or 3 recruits would be no big deal under normal circumstances, heck USC is used to recruits decommitting or going elsewhere simply because with the level of talent we typically have, they know they won't see the field for at least a season or two. But when you are dealing with having 10 fewer scholarships than normal, every lost recruit can have a significant impact.
As for the timing, no question that it could have been better, but as they say: "Something that must be inevitably, should be done immediately".
Regardless of whether one blames Kiffin or blames the media (I blame both), the bottom line is that there was too much negativity surrounding the program and the vast majority of it was "Kiffin-based". The impact of the negativity on the players was obvious in pretty much every game we played prior to the last 2.
And Oregon still has a winning record vs USC this century.
Yall can have the past (20th century)
Oregon is laying claim to the 21st. Ya, the Carroll era was 21st. Still have a winning record vs SC and everyone else in the PAC.
lol, 20 of Oregon's 21 NATTTYs are track or cross country.
Beat that suckas!
lol. ASU cant beat Oregon. They are so far from the level of the Ducks its funny. You remember what happened in 19 minutes of football right? Game over. 43 unanswered points..... in your own house.
Mariota out of game b4 halftime.
And if you were asking about the sanctions, they lose one skolly for a couple years. 2 players. They already got credit for one year of sanctions as they didnt recruit a full class in 2013.
So basically, they arent giving 2 walk on kids that will never see playing time a skolly in 2014 and 2015 classes.
USC has 27 track and field national championships.
I think that's more!!
And not an NC is sight!!
If USC was a nation they'd have the sixth most Olympic Medals as any country.
(Ok not really related but still a cool stat).
Meh Sutton would of made a huge difference. ASU is on the rise though the only team in the Pac that had enough speed on defense to compete with your offense was ASU in the Erickson days it will be interesting to see if Graham will be able to get that same speed, its essential in stopping Oregon. Mamba I went crazy on that first fumble literally jumping on other ASU fans lol chest bumping so pumped, but then we all saw Sutton down and we all acted like it was over. Oregon fans next to me was like whos Sutton? LOL. I remember the game was over at halftime I went and got my 2nd round of chicken tenders and fries.......
I am still scratching my head as to why USC thought that making Lane K would be the right choice to be HC for a major football powerhouse.I mean if you look at everywhere else he has been there was always a " black cloud " nearby. From his run-ins with the late Al Davis to his misplaced comment about Urban Meyer. Yea, I know that he was a part of the USC family and help to establish many offensive records, I think it was more of right place / right time scenario. Anyway, y'all stuck a fork in him and its time to move on.USC will still be able to recruit well without him.
Don't know if USC would consider the Boise State coach, but he has done more with less imo. The alumni should open up their checkbooks and let him name his price. Dude is only 49 and is a UC Davis grad so he has a lot of upside there. Maybe I should pass along some information to Cindy H. and she could bring it up when Pat is at the dinner table.
That Duck fan that didnt know Sutton was a retard man. Criminy
Anyways. I think your team with Graham will own the South over the next few years with the Devils and Bruins fighting it out. Maybe Utah sneaks in there every once in a while, other than that... Dont see to many threats.
Kiffin is actually a very good coach.
oh they are in sight. Sniffing around them for the last 4 years while USC cant get out of their own way.
That football program TODAY is the biggest fucking joke in the Nation.
They are a laughing stock bro. And I ahve been telling you that for 2 years. But your blind homerism got in your way and you couldnt see what the rest of us saw. Kiffin is a joke and ruined that program.
Good luck with all those fancy 5 stars. Meanwhile lil ol Oregon will still be kicking your ass.
And in that Kiffin era do you have even one Crystal Football in your trophy case? No you dont.
You have the same number of Crystal Balls as Oregon does since Carrol came to USC.
ZERO. Thats right. No NATTYS for USC through that glorious Carrol era. Nothing to show for all those fantastic teams.
