It's a beautiful thing. Crushing the Pens never gets old. They are the top scoring team in the Nhl by a wide margin and we shut them out. Pretty unreal.

I think it shows the potential of this team, even as currently constructed. It also points out how well the results can be when the bounces actually go our way. I'd say we're still due more results like this moving forward if the effort continues to be there.

He probably could've had a hat trick with any luck at all. The one goal he did score, he absolutely roofed it, leaving no doubts. I don't see any reason why he can't do this more often as our third line center.

On a side note, Provorov looks really comfortable on our top power play unit and there's going to be a lot more punch on the second unit with Voracek/Filppula. I love the changes there.

Basically, I think it's about time to let Provorov run wild and do whatever he wants. Show us what you have all over the ice, because you're disappointing us nowhere. This kid will probably be getting 28+ minutes per game for us next season. Actually, now that I mention it, he logged 27:17 last night, by far his most ice in a game this season.

Prov shot blocking ability is second to none. If our other young defense turn out to be half as good as him at 19 we will have a strong defense for years to come.

The PP changes were a long time coming. I like them as well. We need 10 more games like last night and we will all be very happy starting with tonight,.

I wasn't tracking his ice or anything, but watching the replay of the game, I noticed that he was out there basically every other shift and still largely dominant. Now I see the 27:17 total and that's amazing.

So smooth and he knows where to put the puck and exactly how to get it there, always. Then he's really strong physically in puck battles as well. He can definitely finish a guy and take the puck from him. The shot blocking you mentioned too. What can't he do? Lol On the ice, I'm really not sure...

pretty crazy game last night, Like Mav said, always a wonderful experience beating the Pens! Especially in grand fashion at home! Well it could be the spark and I'm on board, what more do I have to root for? Sure hasn't been a boring season lol.

I think I'm going to ride the hot hand and go with Coots to kick things off tonight, see if he can put it together for two in a row.

So with Mason having a 0-8-0 record against the Devils, do you play him or give him a rest? Not sure you can afford another hiccup but it is interesting?
