Sloppy win, take the two points. Edmonton lost to Anaheim 5-3 so the Kings in second in the division.

Anyone catch the post game with Kopitar? A FDS reporter says something like "you havent had too many two goal games recently, how does that (tonight) make you feel" and he dryly replies "yeah, it's been about 10 days" and moves onto the next question. The delivery and response was freaking gold, a little sarcasm side of Kopitar we don't really get to see.

Then on the FDS post game with Stoll and O'Neal, PON goes on and on ranting and raving about Kopitar, how Subban dissed him on the TNT broadcast against the Flyers (Kopitar's last 2 goal game 12/19) regarding the Selke, etc and Stoll just gave him a blank stare throughout or didn't answer his questions or comment.

Funny stuff, PON looked like he had too much eggnog during the game.

I really cant watch any of the interviews unless Stoll is part of it. Who really comes up with these questions. How does it feel to win??? Or what were you thinking about during that play? They really should get away from Carrlyn Bathe. She is just unwatchable duing her in game or when she jumps in to host with Stoll.

To be honest, I am not a big fan of PON either. I have never hosted a show so I dont know how difficult it is to do, but I find him hard to listed to as well. I like Stoll. I would love to have a conversation with Stoll or Fox and just get their honest answers to some questions that they may not be able to say on air. Ex. their honest opinion of Buster and Bowlby for instance.

I'm sure there's so much they can't say on air, I'd love that conversation too.

Take the Gleason for Smolinski trade in 2003 for example, on air Dave Taylor said they made the trade to add a promising young defender to the organization (Gleason was not going to sign in Ottawa and was drafted in 2001, 1st round I believe) but I sat next to him at TC 2003 and asked him about it because he was a serviceable 2C and he flat out told me Smolinski doesn't perform well when he gets long term deals and that's why he moved him. The Sens signed him to 4 years/$10 million and he didn't do too hot after so Taylor was correct in his assessment.

I was a bit surprised but appreciated his honesty so take what we all hear on air as towing the company line for the most part.

It's why when Buster wipes his ass there's a 9 minute segment on it, fluff up the players and whatnot but yes they have their own honest opinions off air for sure. Can't be dropping value on potential trade chips or teeing off other GMs, organizations, etc either.
