Some of those games in the 10 game winning streak we were thoroughly out played and didn't deserve to win and a lot of them were against back up goalies.

Regardless, winning 10 in a row is an impressive feat. But, we've gone a ridiculous 12-19-5 since that winning streak. Almost unfathomable to do that. That's winning 12 of 36 or 33.3% of your games....Lol

I still can't understand it. We beat some good teams in the last 36 games too. The Rangers, Panthers, Sharks, Canadiens, Leafs, Isles, Lightning and Caps. We just didn't do it often enough and let far worse teams like NJ, Carolina, Buffalo and Dallas spank us.

There is a tendency with this organization, since the retirement of Primeau that was only briefly interrupted during the Pronger era, to play down to the level of the opposition. The "core" are NOT dedicated to a 200 foot game 82 games a year. They are NOT dedicated to playing 5 on 5 first. They are NOT willing to buy in and make it work.

We let NJ, Carolina, Buffalo and Dallas beat us a total of five times since our win streak, giving up 20 goals in those games and only scoring 4. None of those teams are going to make the playoffs. In fact, they are all still below us in the standings. That just goes to show you how wildly inconsistent our team is.

NJ has only scored 4 or more goals in a win 10 times this season and two of those were against us. Speaking of 10, that's now how many games they've lost in a row, but this was a team we couldn't beat or even hang with.

and yet we have them all signed to long term contracts. If they stay they either need to learn how to play even strength or have the number 1 PP in the league. I dont see any of this happening which is why i want a complete shake up.

The weird part is that last season we didn't have Provorov or Konecny and I think it's safe to say that they have been two of our best players this season. I guess the youth movement needs to happen asap.

We definitely deserved to win this one, but a lot of bounces went our way. You know that is the case when Weise gets a goal and an assist. Couturier was a monster however with 2 points and 8 shots. If this is the beginning of our luck finally turning around, then I am loving it.

We still need Toronto, Tampa and NYI to slip up however. We're too far behind in the tiebreaker right now too, so we need to pass these teams in points. It's going to be difficult, but these next couple of games better be wins for us.

Big night tonight with all of us in action. Tampa and Toronto play each other too, which could definitely knock one of them down a peg. We absolutely have to beat NJ though, which we have yet to be able to do. They have lost 10 straight for God's sake. We have to make that 11 or this quest is over.
