Ghost and Guda have had a fantastic season. Manning and Medvedev have not been slouches by any stretch either. I like the new young guys and may be the energy behind our resurgence. Include Nevy in the mix and this infusion really has spilled over to some of the vets. I think we may sneak up on some people in the play-offs. I wouldn't count us out!

Well, we're tied at 89 points each now, but they have 4 games left compared to our 6. We need 9 points out of 6 games if they go 4-0. Basically, either beat them in the head to head or win our games in hand and we'll be fine.

There is so much that can happen right now still. I hope that the Bruins blow this game tonight after they had a 5-2 lead.

Jake is not 100% after his foot/ankle injury. He is is still strong on the boards and on his skates but his first step to the one side is not as dynamic. Hopefully shouldn't be permanent...but may not get much better this year.

Pressure squarely on the Wings tonight. They absolutely must win in Toronto against a team that they just lost to in regulation a few weeks ago. If they somehow don't get two points, we gain a really nice edge on them.

A lack of any points would virtually ensure they won't be passing us in the standings. They would need to go 3-0 (against three playoff teams) and hope we get 4 points or less in our remaining 5 games.

The Wings held on for the win, but suddenly the Rangers lose to the Sabres in regulation. Now they are almost where the Islanders are, just barely ahead of us.

I think you could argue that the matchup today at 5 pm involves the two hottest teams in the Nhl since February 24th (and possibly this calendar year). Here is our records across that stretch:

Us: 13-3-2 (28 points in 18 games)

Them: 15-4 (30 points in 19 games)

However, if there's one thing we haven't checked off of our "To Do" list yet this season aside from officially making the playoffs, it's to beat the Penguins, so let's go out and get this done.

As has been stated by Retroram....we need to wake up and kill the Penguins....okay, so I paraphrased.
The Flyers need to win, in regulation. The accompanying losses by other teams in the hunt can only serve to help, but the Flyers cannot count on that. They need to win.
