We don’t need to mention the big stench
I mean, we don't really need to mention Banny either, but if we're breaking out the classics, might as well play them all.

And at one time some on the board wanted him gone and trade for a 1stB.
Altuve out
Money that doesn't work out and contract years that exceed the usefulness of a player, have to be a part of the budget. I imagine Semien's and maybe even Seagar's contracts will fit in that latter category.
Yeah he seems to want to give the East CoSt a break. But yes the Astros took it to a whole new level.
I am not sure about his objectivity after reading his tweets during the labor negotiations, but objectivity is so hard to find that you have to overlook the lack thereof, and go with what you can get.Yeah he seems to want to give the East CoSt a break. Generally this writer is pretty objective
Last year on July 27 we traded a player whose OPS was 111 points above Lowe's OPS on that date. That player is now considered a "loser." I wonder what that makes Lowe.
By the way, I don't see either of them as a loser.

Well, that is the date Gallo left this environment and went to New York. That is when his situation and Lowe's situation became completely different. Thus, it seemed natural to me to use that date. Can't really cherry pick exact dates in the past like that, though, especially when it comes to comparing players and wild statistical swings.

Might mention that only one NY player has a lower OPS than Gallo to date. This is his 9th year in MLB and he seems to keep sliding downward. Some may think he's a winner.I understand why you picked that date. Just saying that who Gallo and Lowe were then, and who they are now, comparatively speaking, can't be used to determine the "value" of either. Too many variables.
Who is Lowe though? Is he the career .781 OPS hitter that he has been. In that point of Gallo's career he looked to be much better than that and look what has happened to him in NY.I understand why you picked that date.
