Like Binelas, Smith played just two games at this position over the week and flexed his defensive versatility with time at shortstop and also in center field. Sent to the Rangers by the Yankees in the deal that sent Joey Gallo to the Bronx, Smith is already proving himself at the Triple-A level after playing just 30 games at Double-A following last summer’s trade.
