No More "Bullpen Failure"
My comments were meant to say "let's tap the brakes on Lowe being a really good player longterm," and we're not meant to say Gallo is any better than his career numbers show him to be.
Who is Lowe though? Is he the career .781 OPS hitter that he has been. In that point of Gallo's career he looked to be much better than that and look what has happened to him in NY.
Also, is he always going to struggle defensively?

Personally, I am a big fan of Joey Gallo and I sure hope he turns it around next year, if not some time this season. That will be how I will feel no matter where he plays in the future.
Was not Lowe working on his launch angel with new batting coaches and it seems like he has developed power the other way. Those are good signs to meMy comments were meant to say "let's tap the brakes on Lowe being a really good player longterm," and we're not meant to say Gallo is any better than his career numbers show him to be.
that was then some would wait and seeIt should be noted that on April 28 last year Nathaniel Lowe's OPS stood at .873 which is just short of what it is now. By mid to late August it had fallen 150 points, and he eventually finished the season at .771.
better approach to hitting? Also kinda weird how multiple Rangers are struggling to hit, as well as the league as a whole, and somehow Lowe is hitting way above his career numbers.
better approach to hitting?
well when it was 5 games maybe it was but after 16 maybe he's made some good changesPossibly. Could just be dumb luck.
Like you said, not sure what we have in Lowe. He may be playing above his head. He may have improved with hitting instructions but he is what he is at the moment and we are all the better off for it.Possibly. Could just be dumb luck.
