Did Halak get hurt tonight? St. Loo might need/want a goalie. I'll take Kris Russell plus a pick thanks.

He's not suiting up for the Sharks tonight but he might for the Canucks if the report of what their offering is true.

Even though that would be a great long term trade for the Sharks, I just couldn't stomach watching Clowe as a Canuck. The only worse team for me would be if Clowe were a Duck. I have a feeling Clowe would light it up on a line with the Sedins (and make the Twins feel ten feet tall and bullet prof too).

Now bring me Kristo (have had a hard on for him since his last wjhc) and a 1st from Montreal!!!

:D

Clow(e)n with the twins would be a three ring circus...

Oh Dashe! Seriously though, the twins are elite players, but they aren't exactly burners, so Clowe could keep up with them without hurting their game. Clowe would fit their cycle game perfectly and he'd double as a personal bodyguard.

I'd be trolling filo, actually I think the Canucks should put Burrows back with the twins and they could use Clowe with Kesler (who supposedly is a week away from joining the lineup).

Vanek on the possibility of being traded:

"You never like to [be traded]," he said. "I think I've raised my family here. I enjoy where I'm at. But I understand the situation here. I'm not sure I've talked to anyone what their plan is. Again, it's something you can't control. Again, it could happen."

Vanek "definitely" wants to stay.

"I'm comfortable where I'm at," he said. "But I would like to know what the direction is."

The bolded part is why I think he has to go. Great player, but not consistent enough, and doesn't put himself out there to be a leader.

He thinks that he raised a family there? Antonio Cromartie?

I kid...

I would like to thank Greg Sherman once again for matching Jay Feaster's clumsy offer sheet. Currently, 3 1st round picks and approximately $14 million in cap space cleared by Feaster, I still don't think he's a good GM, but at least he's moving in the right direction.

I would not be surprised if he did come to Vancouver. but really if we didn't pick up Campoli for free why pay for MAB

Actually on second thought, scratch that idea, MAB is a PP specialist and the Canucks don't get PP opportunities anymore...

Man, that's a quality signing. I think Le Test Tube left some money on the table.

Oh my God. How did they get that guy for that little?

Dude must like it here or something. I am doing cartwheels over here. Is this what having a competent GM feels like?

The Test Tube is a solid, solid guy. I would love to have him Center Umby and Foligno on the third and let RyJo run wild with Atkinson and Calvert. Leaving Artie and Dubie with Props.
