was wondering where you were hiding...

I was with the family and then on a slow boat to the mainland. Just catching up now. Next, Kipper to the Leafs, it's a fire sale people, every good player must go.

I must say I am quite pleased that the Flames currently have 3 first round picks in the 2013 entry draft. Maybe Feaster can get one or two more.

One more thing: I love all the chuckling I'm hearing on Vancouver radio about the sad state of the Flames, boys you'd better take a look at your own yard, other teams around you are improving while your GM sits on his thumb and continues to spin.

Question: Is JayBo's ironman streak over now? Flames are paying the Oil tonight, but no JayBo.

I think they made the trade before the flames game started and after the blues game started so his streak should still be alive

I think all the trade talk has gotten to Kipper tonight, pulled after giving up 3 goals on 5 shots.

Three Oilers goals in 5 shots on Kiprusoff. He gets the hook, Leafs GM Nonis turns the page. "Hello, Mike? About Roberto…"

First round pick for JayBo is what I hoped for, a couple of prospects is just gravy, I'm quite pleased.

Pretty good return for JayBo, but the Flames are taking on mediocre prospects at a fast rate. At some point they might have to think about the 50 contract limit.

I don't know where they stand on that but if they sign the college guys from the Iggy deal they've upped their number of contract by 2 and have lost two NHL roster players.

Three 1st rounders and counting in 2013 has got to be pretty appealing to any team looking to rebuild. Good on the Flames for finally doing something.

20% of this year's first round will be going to Calgary or Columbus.

Jeff O'Neill has now weighed in on the Jay-Bo trade...

Not sure If Blues fans should be too jacked up. Picked up a d-man making huge quid, who's done jack shit in 5 years.

the proper way to rebuild.
1) load up on picks in a strong draft
2) don't fuck up, and you should have something to watch in couple of years.
3) profit.

LA did that recently - they had 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of 2009

I think with the JayBo trade, they are currently at 47 contracts Kenny.

Didn't the Oil do the same thing to Vancouver's goalie combo in the first period a couple nights ago?

Cool.

Congrats Dash.

The Sens did a similar rebuild/re-tool in 2011. Ended up with 3 1st rounders and went young. Turned things around pretty quickly and now the future is bright.
