We're .5 games back. After KC we play the Astros and then the final series in LA will make us or break us.

and TB still has three games with Balt, then @ NYY and @ Toronto. That does seem bleaker than us. We have Houston and LAA here after KC.

Tampa Bay is definitely the team we need to be rooting against the most. They are the team we can pass even as poorly as we're playing right now. They did take the 18-inning game last night, but it was anything but pretty. They've got a fairly tough remaining schedule too. Cleveland I'm afraid has all but punched their ticket with their cupcake schedule remaining. Baseball is a very strange game and any team's fortunes can turn on a dime. The Rangers have been putrid all September long and reason dictates that it's more likely that it will continue. But even the worst teams like Miami and Houston suddenly get hot and go on mini winning streaks, so I'm still holding out hope that we go on a similar tear to end the season.

Whatever happens, whether it's a continued collapse or miracle run to the WS, it's pretty clear some big changes need to happen this offseason because there are just too many holes in the Rangers' ship.

Hope Garza is on his game..he's been really really shaky. Today would be a great day for a turnaround.

TB won today so the pressure is really on. Of course right now we're playing catch-up to the Indians but with their remaining schedule I don't really see them blowing it.

They could pull out maybe one win, but in general if you look at the Rays' schedule vs the Indians, along with how well the Indians are playing as of now, I'm giving it to Cleveland for sure. All we can do is hope the Rangers get it together and can pass TB.
