Stratton got 4 outs on just 15 pitches. From what I recall other than one bad outing he has been nails.

Think they replace Smith too.hope they resign him. Montgomery and Chapman and go after a couple of the better relievers
Smith is a FA but maybe they should pursue Hader and Hicks. And maybe TreinenThink they replace Smith too.
yes and we should move on from Smith in the offseasonHaven't we already gotten more out of Will Smith than we should have?
Some of our early-srason overachievers have come back to earth. Smith, Taveras, Jankowski, and even Adolis to a certain extent, played above their heads for awhile.
I just don’t see how keeps a guy with close to a 4 era as a closer.Any chance this outing is enough to convince Bochy that Chapman should be our closer?
Not sure he has options to go downSend him down and give some AAA guys an opportunity
Don’t have a clue maybe it’s the 22 saves out of 30 opportunitiesI just don’t see how keeps a guy with close to a 4 era as a closer.
Not big on Janks eitherI think that ship has sailed, unfortunately. He’s only in there now because Jung is injured and outfielders need a rest or they’re struggling. Once the team is fully healthy and not mired in a collective slump anymore, he’s permanently parked on the bench.
C- Heim/Garver
1B- Lowe
2B- Semien
SS- Seager
3B- Jung
LF- Duran/Jankowski
CF- Martinez/Jankowski
RF- Garcia
DH- Garver/Heim/Duran/Grossman
Don’t see Duran having a future in LF after this season. I would expect them to bring in someone like Bellinger in offseason and go with Bellinger, Martinez and Garcia in the outfield and resign Jankowski as the 4th outfielderI think that ship has sailed, unfortunately. That means 8 blown saves. Not acceptable.Don’t have a clue maybe it’s the 22 saves out of 30 opportunities
It should have 22 out of 25. That’s what I get for not checking before I postThat means 8 blown saves. Not acceptable.
In the beginning he didn't have much of a choice. That's on the front office. Will Smith as closer is one of the oddest decisions Bochy has made. And 8 blown saves is pretty bad to be honest. He needs a different role. Immediately.
I don’t think Maddux and Bochy are comfortable with Chapman as a full time closer. Don’t know why but maybe the episode with the Yankees made them uncomfortable with himIn the beginning he didn't have much of a choice. That's on the front office.
9-9I would be curious to know the Rangers record against first or second place teams since July 1st.
I think Hernandez and Leclerc were supposed to be the 8th and 9th inning guys out of spring training. Smith is a lefty specialist for LH batters, not really a closer. Obviously that idea went south pretty fast.I don’t think Maddux and Bochy are comfortable with Chapman as a full time closer.
