If Odor has one of his 6-8 week hot streaks he could be MVP. Then maybe he would get an extension.

he’s much more likely to go on one of his 2 month long cold spells where he barely puts the ball in play.

Not at all.

Yeah hunkered is a bit strong. I am distancing and have gone into work some but mainly working remote. We have had grandchildren over but so much unknown. Not sure I believe anything at this point

Makes me sick seeing Odor making that much more money than Lance Lynn. Second highest paid on the team is disgusting and not a good reflection on management.

I can’t wait until that worthless little bastard is off the team.

at least mitch was cheap......

2 more years after this one.

I know the front office has surprised us all with their odor stubbornness in the face of unprecedentedly bad results, but his team option won’t be picked up based on the way he’s played so far. He has to play at an all star level to give the team good value on the contract at this point, good luck with that.

I would imagine there will be a few select spots for top prospects who would never have sniffed the big leagues this year. Guys like Huff, Winn and Crouse. Maybe Jung.

Guys coming back from injury like Ragans, Owen White, Alexy, Cody, and Seise are probably dying to get some playing time even more than the rest of the prospects. I wonder if there is any consideration to having a mini minor league season later in the year.

So I also wonder who is on but then off when next tear it shrinks back to 40. Also, how does service time come into play. Guessing some AAA guys with some tools but maybe not huge upside added as well as some vets on the way out like Edison V

I would imagine that there will be a wide array of strategies utilized by the various teams. Some would like a guy like Volquez, others probably not. This will be a year when everyone will be forced to think outside the box. That is not easy for a lot of folks in baseball. Smart GMs and smart managers will make a lot more difference this year than they could have in the past I would think.

The baseball equivalent to Bill Belichick would be a great guy to have in a year like this. Maybe watch out for Joe Maddon and the Angels.

A commissioner that works solely for the owners does not look like he can intervene to get something done fairly for both sides and more so in the interest of baseball. A sad day for baseball. Sends a terrible message to new generation of baseball fans. Could lose them.
