It's nice if your starters make it to the 6th inning and you have a strong bullpen that shutdown the other team from the 6th inning and on. We are getting close to there.Great rebound yesterday against LA. Obviously losing that series stings, but being 7-2 since the break is better than any of us expected. Definitely concerned about Eovaldi's velo and the back end of the starting rotation. It is nice to see that Burke-Smith-Chapman make a fantastic 1-2-3 punch out of the pen. I still think we have a really good opportunity to make a deep run come October with the right moves. It's like @saddles said; we likely win the LAD series with a better bullpen. Still think trading for two relievers that are as good as Smith and Chapman is the main and most important thing--shut you down type of guys.
Throw in another SP - at least a #3 type.
A good hitter would help, too. Someone that has a high batting average and thrives with RISP.
Doesn't have to have overwhelming power.
