No real movement. Wonder if some players just sit the season out regardless
I say call it a wash. I am to the point I really don't want to have baseball just to say we have baseball. Not if it becomes ridiculous.

a year off wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for this team.

we could finally get Choo and fielder off the books.

although, I doubt this front office will capitalize on the opportunity to bring in new talent like people here hope.

Feel pretty much the same as you and Wasting. Lost interest thus far. Rather look and hope for a new start in 2021. Stay safe Tyler.

Pretty funny comments to this tweet.....

I hope baseball of some form is played. If nothing is played due to money haggling it will hurt the game. All this shows the lack of power of the commissioner. It's like he is a lame duck. Too much placating the owners. This is why the punishment was so weak for the Astros and the BoSox

Will say though ridiculous is Rangers playing a bulk of games West Coast time. But California is not even authorizing stadium events, right? I am pretty middle of the road but this is Left Coast methodology huh?

I have gone out to eat a couple of times and of course to the grocery store/Costco and been with friends a few times. At first I was careful and I am still careful but no point in being a hermit. I have noticed a lot more cars on the road lately.

Starting to expand our circle a tiny bit but I am a bit more cautious than wife. Been at job site a few times but mainly working remote.
A lot of unknown so I try to be careful but so much beyond my control. By the grace of God we make it through this. So tough for many

So how long is Odor a ranger?

I doubt people on this board are big fans of him, but I guess the front office is the main opinion that matters.

I think he’s kept because he can’t be moved until his option year. We don’t pick up the option.

that should mean he’s a free agent in 2023.

At least he will not get his full salary this year. There is some justice there b/c he has never been worth the money he has been receiving. No telling what this season has in store for the Rangers. One positive is seeing Choo fading away. So some good is apparent. Our rotation has gotten much better so putting this year to rest should open up some new opportunities.

I guess the next question is if there is no 2020 how does that impact contracts and free agency?

Job wise yes. We are on a recall status as my job is tied to military units deploying overseas or to major training centers. But like the rest, HEB and Walmart. Now that barbers are open will venture out to get a haircut. Apparently back to work at facility 26 May.

I was under the impression that this year would still count towards contracts.

it would help the rangers tremendously to have a down year because fielder would be paid off, Choo would be paid off, and we would get another year closer to getting rid of odor.

Wasn't there a news piece saying they might bring Choo back?

I guess the chance to get something for Minor at the deadline is long gone.
