I don’t even have a problem with them pitching to him. But the one and only thing you can’t do there is just give him a meat pitch like that. Already had 1 strike on him. Zero reason to throw that pitch. Inexcusable.

I don’t either. Facing 103 fastballs and then 93 fastballs gives the opponent the psychological edge. Phew we got Chapman out of the way and can now face a normal fastball in our last at bats.

No excuse they had 2 outs and a RH batter followed by LH batter going against Smith who had made the first 2 LH batters look bad. Logic says walk the RH bat and pitch to the LH

Michael Conforto is hitting .207 against lefties, .153 against lefty sliders with no HRs. Giants did not have a RH pinch hitter available. 1st base open. Why Bochy? Why do you pitch to Bailey there?

Terrible pitch call to rookie Bailey FB inside even if a ball. He turned on it just like Kinsler used to and Marcus does now
