That’s what we were saying. We’re not writing off Josh but when it comes down to playing full time we need JPM, Taveras and Garcia (with Jankowski playing a lot too) in the OF 90+% of the time from now to the end of the season. And Duran, Seager, Semien, Lowe and Heim on the infield for the same amount of time. That leaves DH which has to be Garver (when he isn’t giving Heim time off) and unfortunately Grossman ( unless we bring up Crim or Harris or Foscue). That doesn’t leave much playing time for JoshJosh Smith is filling in and he did get the late inning hit. You guys are unwise to just write him off.
Do hope somehow JPM stays up. Great run to the plate.
Maybe Zeke plays 3 B. He is looking better
Not sure who comes off the active list to keep JPM up? But probably Ornelas
Josh will have to sit then
Because They were giving Garcia a DH day off. From now to the end of the season you see a lot less of that. We have 4 OF’ers in Martinez, Jankowski, Taveras and Garcia and some combination of 3 of them will play 99% of the 44 games left. Duran, Seager, Semien and Lowe will play most of the 44 games at 3B, SS, 2B and 1B.Based on the lineup today,, that wasn't an option
Sit, bitch!
i'd rather have Jankowski/Martinez and Duran in LF and 3BI'd rather have Duran's and Smith's defense and offense in LF and 3B later in the game than Grossman and Duran's defense and offense on LF and at 3B
Not an option because Jankowski's on paternity leave... My comments were only based on availability yesterdayi'd rather have Jankowski/Martinez and Duran in LF and 3B
okay i was looking at the fact his paternity ended after yesterday's gameNot an option because Jankowski's on paternity leave... My comments were only based on availability yesterday
