i was only kidding around last night when i said it was Gallo time. but now that JD has made this decision i hope it works out

I hope it does too, but I'm on record in being in disagreement with our FO on this. I hope Banny puts him in the lineup, except against Sale.

Rosales has Sale's number. Just like Seager has ours. He should play.
Yea he should play but to think he will hit two HR and 3 RBI because he did it once before is a little far fetched but we'll see. I hope he does.

The numbers say he's likely to pick up a couple of knocks. That's good enough.

Did not say that is what he would do. Just said he should play. That was just my response to you stating he would not make a difference. To do that would be far fetched.

I hope it does too. Ranger fans just have to remember to be patient just like when Hamilton first came back. Good things will come but there could be a lot of bad in between. Let's hope not but we have to limit our expectations.

i think they were planning on bringing him up in September to give him a taste of the big league. this injury just moved up the time table a little. hopefully it will be a good learning experience and he will be able to build on it.

Yes, but his development would be 3 months farther along, and he wouldn't be an every day player. That's kinda big.

i agree with you. hopefully they don't try and start him out as an everyday player and work him slowly

I doubt if it happens but if he was to really produce then we would have some serious decisions to make. I cannot see Beltre being removed as he is the cornerstone but Choo in RF and/or Moreland at 1B could see things change. Gallo has only played 6 games in LF and 7 at 1B in the minors.

I disagree. They need to pick their spots a bit, like not starting him against Sale, but he needs to be playing 3b pretty much every day. Don't Mike Olt him.

I noticed that he hits a HR in every 9.6 ABs but this year at a rate of 1 every 7.4 ABs. But he has not even played a full season of AA ball. So this will be quite a challenge.

I can't see this happening, but then again, I didn't see Gallo being called up happening either.

If Gallo hits higher than 7th I'd be surprised.

They need to put someone decent behind him. Otherwise, he'll probably never see a strike.

I'd scarcely start him against any LHPs to start out

Agreed. Problem is, Chicago's starters are both left handed on game two and three. One is sale, the other is a highly touted prospect.

You could stick him at #9 with DDJ behind him.

That's an interesting proposition. Would certainly solve the problem of adding another lefty to the middle of the order, and with DDJ looking very much like a threat at the top of the order, the last thing they'll want to do is walk the #9 hitter.
