I believe one of our recent roster moves involved DFAing someone and replacing them on the 25 man roster with someone already on the 40 man.

I think we might need to be prepared for the possibility of Beltre's injury lasting longer than a couple of weeks. Sometimes these things have a way of lingering longer than originally estimated.

I agree with 100%. And this is one of those injuries which you really can't do a lot about it, other than to let the healing process run it course.

I wonder if Beltre's roster replacement might be Ed Lucas.

Exactly who I was thinking it should be. Although, it appears there will be some sentiment to bring Odor back up. But for me, I'd like to see Odor get some time at the lower level and get his ABs there without any undue pressure.

The numbers sure make it seem like he prefers to hit leadoff. He hit OK in NYY (5-15) but went 2-11 in the next two series.

As much as I like DDJ hitting lead off, I think we might need to switch him back to the two hole.

I'm going to go on record and say that I'd rather not have Gallo come up for right now.
Have Rosales/Alberto play 3B...and if Beltre isnt back by the time Rua comes back -- then have Rua play 3B.

I'd rather see Gallo spend some time in AAA before coming to MLB.

For that matter -- I'd also like to see Roogie stay in AAA for a bit. Call up Ed Lucas if you have to call up a bench bat.

Bringing up Telis and releasing Corpy would open up a 40 man spot. Releasing Richardson would open up a spot. At some point Freeman and Blanks might be roster casualties in order to create spots. A trade of Choice could be a possibility at some point also.

Agree. Have to plan on it taking 3 weeks at minimum. If he is ready to come back in two weeks ... great.

Ok according to that, but I've still yet to find any report of the move anywhere, and I could've swore I saw him on there somewhere earlier, guess I misread
