I wanted CY to pick up Robertson for the 2023 season so you know what my answer is.

We need to work something out with them. Would really like to sign Yates. If Dunning and Heaney go to the pen, not sure if we resign Leclerc. Urena I would like to keep if there is room.

Heaney is a free agent after this season along with Scherzer and Lorenzen and Eovaldi is under a vesting option at $20M if he reaches 300 innings over 2023 & 2024 seasons and he's around 95 innings short. plus Urena is also a free agent

well we have deGrom, Mahle, Bradford. Gray and Dunning as starters next year but i wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers bring Eovaldi back. it is the bullpen that needs major work. would like to see them pick up Robertson's option, re-sign Yates and then pursue trades for Tanner Scott or Yimi Garcia or Mason Miller. at least 2 of them

deGrom worries me. He is so pron to injury. Yes we need Eovaldi back and if he does return Dunning will likely go to the pen and that will help there. Also Scherzer may also be in the pen. Several options overall.

if they keep Eovaldi, they would have deGrom, Eovaldi, Mahle, Bradford, Gray & Dunning so I would think maybe they might prefer trying to bring Lorenzen back instead of Scherzer and move Dunning to the pen
