I looked at the Angel’s box score today. Their lineup average wise isn’t any better on the whole than this lineup but they produced 9 runs today. They get extra base hits, and HR’s when it counts. This team kills rally’s by grounding into double plays and striking out.

This play can’t go on much longer or it’ll be time to raise the white flag and pack it in for the year.

If the Rangers are 33-36 or 32-37 at the end of this road trip then I think you start having the conversation whether or not this team can make a run. Don't see much evidence to suggest a turn around but I want to see where they are after this road trip.
Maybe Bochy's time is up and he is being tuned out. Maybe CY just didn't make the right moves. Think we're all in agreement that money was unwisely spent on Pederson preventing the team from getting two late inning relievers. Maybe Garcia should have been traded in the offseason while the getting was good. He has lost some value at this point with his non productive offense. Will be curious what the Rangers do with him.
Thought the team was going to have a nice 4 or 5 year run but now the team is old. Our 2 best pitchers are 35 and 36 respectively so you can't expect them to continue to dominate like they are much longer.
This seemed like the team that could make another serious run at the beginning of the year but now it seems like we're closer to having to do a rebuild with the way this season is going. It's not what I really want but Iam curious what Ray Davis is thinking

apparently according to several Yankees sources, they are interested in Chris Martin even after his recent problems

From. Texas Rangers PR:

Congratulations to Texas prospect RHP David Davalillo, who was named South Atlantic League (High-A) Pitcher of the Month for May.

The right-hander went 3-0 with a league-best 0.96 ERA (3 ER/28.0 IP), 35 strikeouts, and 4 walks in May, also pacing qualified South Atlantic League hurlers during the month in all four slash categories (.152/.184/.222/.406) and WHIP (0.68).

Davalillo did not permit an extra-base hit over his final 19.0 IP in May. On May 23 vs. Rome, he fanned a career-high-tying 10 batters over 6.0 scoreless frames (W, 3 H, 1 BB) as part of a 4-1 Hub City victory.

Currently ranked as Texas’ no. 29 prospect (MLB Pipeline), Davalillo has gone 4-0 with a 1.02 ERA (5 ER/44.1 IP) in 9 games/starts for the Spartanburgers this season, leading the SAL in ERA, WHIP (0.72), and opp. BA (.146).
