Series Thread: Surging Rangers hosting the Chicago White Sox

So I read we're playing the "what if" game... ok. Here's my "what if..."

The year is 2019.

Bryce Harper signs as a FA with the Texas Rangers....to play LF/RF.

Outfield consists of Harper, Brinson, Mazara.
Infield consists of Gallo, Profar, Odor, Rua.
DH is Fielder.
Catcher is Alfaro.

Bench is DeShields, Alberto, Cantwell, Williams.

Pitching.
Starters. Yu, Holland, Thompson, Perez, Chi Chi. (with Lulu sitting in AAA waiting.)
Relievers. Closer = Kela. Rest = idk.


Lineup wise.... heh.

Brinson
Mazara
Gallo
Harper
Alfaro
Fielder
Rua
Profar
Odor

Never gets old. And every time I hear the Rangers Joey Gallo name I think of the movie.

I would suspect/hope, this was a one time occurrence. It would surprise me if this hasn't been addressed by the team already.

It was IMO, meant as a prank. A not so funny one, again IMO, but a prank none-the-less.

I don't think the bench has that many seats.

4 bench players max with 1 being a catcher, 1 UIF and 2 OF'ers is the norm (with one of OF'er usually able to sub at 1 or more IF positions)

It's ludicrous to think of Andrus in the 3 spot even if they were tanking. During a white hot stretch, against a good SP? I guess that's how we're rolling this year.

Rosales is the emergency catcher. That's all I know. Announced last night. Heard Robinson is feeling much better, though.

I was at the game when they stuck Lamb in as a catcher to start the game. What a disaster. After so many passed balls and runs scoring because of it he was replaced and the Rangers came back and won. Can you just see Rosales as the catcher? He would be falling on the ground on every pitch. And they would be stealing like crazy.

I thought the Rangers had insurance or something to where they wouldn't be liable for the whole contract if he can't return?
