There's speculation that Rey might be one of several clones that Palpatine had created to transfer his spirit into (this was an old plot from Expanded Universe books that are no longer canon). It could fit considering they've said her parents are "no one". Everyone assumed it meant they were "no one" important, just common folk. Instead, it could be literal. Another hint could be the cave scene from TLJ where she's in that mirror room where we see infinite Reys. Maybe a hint that there's multiple Reys out there?

I don't get the point of spoiling evil Rey. It gives us time to think about it and realize that there is no way that Disney lets Rey die or be evil by the end of the movie.

This so reminded me of something back in the day when I played Star Wars Galaxies.

The guys playing Wookies begged for months & months for armor ...the only class that really had none if I remember correctly.

Somebody on the SWG board announced that a photo of the new Wookie armor was released.

They posted this very picture.

I would kinda agree with that. I'm sure their goal of a continuing Star Wars franchise would not do well with an evil Rey.

Are you kidding? Doubt they go back to thr abomination of Star Wars that The Last Jedi was but having a bad ass female villain that could carry a franchise is precisely what that target audience would pay money to go see.

She's already a bad-ass fighting for the Light side. That's one thing I really like about the character. For all the pleading that Kylo Ren attempts, she just gives him the stink eye whenever he tries..

You have a good point that the franchise needs a Darth Vader like villain. I just don't think Rey is the one. . Rey is a fine character so let her be. IMO Kylo Ren would NOT be a good hero... He just doesn't inspire in the same way that Luke or Rey do.

Theoretically he doesn’t have to be. In a world where she keeps the franchise going then she has to kill Kylo at the end of the movie. I hate Kylo being that character, IMO, that character should’ve been Post good guy Anakin but pre Darth Vader in ROTS but they rushed the hell out of that role flip.

IF there's a redemption story for Kylo, my gut feeling is that it'll be him imitating his grandfather by sacrificing himself to destroy Palpatine once and for all.

Kathleen Kennedy has so royally fucked this story line up by allowing the abomination of TLJ, I have 0 interest in this movie now. It's been wrecked beyond repair.

JJ Abrams could spend the entire movie trying to undo all the damage, but it simply cannot be done.

I considered Phantom Menace to be the worst movie of all time, but congratulations Kathleen. You found a way to make an even worse movie, and I didn't even think that was humanly possible.
