Whether she does or not isn't going to be important to the movie. I think the PT killed romance subplots in the main Star Wars saga. If they do decide to squeeze a romance subplot in I just think it's likelier to be with Finn than Kylo "Dead Man Walking" Ren.

That space battle is nuts. It's like they put in every single ship anyone has ever dreamed up in the Star Wars universe.

It did have one neat little detail though. One of the Resistance ships appears to be The Ghost from the show Star Wars Rebels

I'm thinking Anakin was a clone of the Emperor, hence the whole midichlorians and the no father angle that he was 'force-conceived'. If that's true, then it's possible Rey is also a clone, which might explain why she looked evil in the previous trailer. Of course, that image could also be a force-dream or vision.

If they can get creative, I wouldn't mind seeing Rey turn to the dark side with the help of the emperor.
This alienates Kylo Ren, so he switches to the good side.
They face off, Rey beats him, but she's not able to finish him off and he somehow manages to flip her back.
Together, they finally defeat the emperor and restore order to the galaxy.
Everybody goes home happy.

I wonder how they’ll follow up the big bag of feces they made in the second installment of this trilogy. The first movie wasn’t bad. Maybe JJ Abrams saves the trilogy, but I don’t see it being any better than the first movie.

The Force Awakens was certainly a reboot but I really liked it. I liked half of the 2nd one although the other half of The Last Jedi was really bad.

I meant TLJ and Solo. Those are the last two SW movies they've released and I didn't like either of them. I liked some parts of TLJ, but frankly the initial battle was just too ridiculous and took me out of the mood, and I spent the rest of the movie being sarcastic and overly critical. I've tried to watch it again, but again having space battles with gravity-based low speed bombers, low speed chases just destroy the movie for me.

I did watch a cut that focused solely on Luke, Rei and Kylo, and that was better, but still had a few terrible moments (the lightsaber fight vs the Imperial guard was pretty cool).

I get that they were trying to recreate the feel of WWII bombing but it wasn't worth it. The whole chase aspect and that stupid casino and breaking into the enemy starship was terrible.

Yes that was the part I still liked. Once Luke pulled the stick out of his butt and began to tutor Rei it got interesting. The whole light/dark conflict, Luke and Yoda, Luke against Kylo, the saber fights were all interesting and entertaining to me.
