Apparently it's the 33 yard line?
50 yards minus 10 for the endzone minus 7 for the snap = the 33 yard line.
Correct, 33 being snapped from was what I was getting at, but typed it all jacked up.Good test of reading comprehension. If the question were, 'Where is a 50-yard field goal SNAPPED from?', then the 33 would be a good answer. Foot makes contact with ball at the 40, though.

KICKED FROM! KICKED FROM! A fifty yard field goal is kicked from the 40 yard line.
Ahh! Well done.
Kicked from, not snapped from. You got me on that one for sure. Tip-o the cap to you, good sir.
The ball would be placed at the 33 yard line by the holder after the snap.....Give or take a few inches.

I don't understand? A 50 yard FG is not kicked from the 50 yard line, if that's where this is going. That'd be a 67 yard FG, I do believe...
My understanding is that it's the distance the ball travels from the spot the hold is placed through the uprights.
